Chapter 24

You burst though the hospital doors.

"{Y/N}. {Y/N}! Calm down." Barry said, grabbing your shoulder. You turned around and rest your forehead on his shoulder. He rubbed your back and whispered in your ear, "You have to calm down. If your emotions get the best of you mistakes will be made." You take a few deep breaths and stand up straight and nod your head. You push your baby hairs out of your eyes as you rub your face with your hands. Barry lightly kisses your forehead before you calmly continue to walk to the front desk. As soon as you get there a girl with short brown hair looks up from her computer.

"How may I help you?" She politely asks.

"We were wondering if you could tell us about one of our friends, Harrison Wells. We haven't heard anything from him in the past few days so we were wondering if he got hurt and came here."

"Give me one moment." She says, as she starts typing on her computer. "Well thats odd."

"What?" Barry questions.

"It says there was a Harrison Wells checked in, but thats it."

"Are there any hard copies?" You ask.

"No we don't keep many anymore." She replies quietly.

"Could you check, just to make sure?" You say, smiling. She nods and walks away. You lean on the desk and look at Barry. "If there are no hard copies we will be going back to square one. Unless he kills someone else." You say, looking down.

"We live in a world filled with technology, he can't hide forever. We will find him eventually." He says, comforting you. You turn back to face the woman as she walks back.

"I did find the hard copies of his appointment." She says handing you the files. You open it up and quickly scan the papers.

"Do you have a copy of these?" You quickly ask, heart starting to speed up a bit, closing the file.

"Umm... possibly."

"Ok. Thanks for your help." You say, quickly turning and running out of the hospital with the file. You hear people shouting from behind you, some of them Barrys some of them the woman who gave you the file. You turned a few quick corners and you were soon hidden by tall buildings. You pulled out your phone and texted Barry. 'See you back at the base,' knowing that he was probably there now anyway. You wrap your arms around the files and start quietly laughing to yourself, realizing that you probably just committed a crime and it is possible you could get put under arrest.

Eventually you make it back to the base without getting arrested. When you walked down the stairs everyone stared at you. Then Barry broke the silence.

"What the hell was that?"

"Getting the file? Which has some interesting stuff." You said, handing it to Felicity. "I mean I didn't actually read it, but I'm assuming that because its something, but you know what they say about people who assume, you'll make an ass out of you and me." You finish with a shrug.

"You could get arrested for this." He says crossing his arms.

"Wouldn't be the first time." You say with a smile.
