Chapter 20
Paiges P.O.V
-------------
"So tomorrow," I asked after a long pause, "Where?"
"Ill pick you up," he said standing up, "it'll be a surprise"
I followed suit and rose to my feet, dusting sand off of my dress.
I gave him all of my attention, studying his perfection. Only now, did i notice, his blue tie was matching my dress. I smiled as I thought of the possibility of him wearing it intentionally. For me. Then let out a low chuckle, expressing how pathetic the thought was. He had Natasha, didn't he? Can you imagine this : we've known each other for no more than 4days and I'm already acting like a protective screen guard! Jealous of the fingerprints that left imprints on the screen. Really pathetic, Paige...
"Share the joke," his smile was evident in his voice, since i was looking at my pedicured toes, I couldn't see it.
I let my eyes travel all the way back up to meet his before responding.
"I almost thought-" what am I saying? I cannot share those thoughts with him!
"What is it?" he queried, stepping closer, eliminating the space between us and taking my hands in his.
"I was just thinking about the way Natasha," I tried my best to word it correctly, "the way she... is... about you."
He laugh was hesitant," Well what do you mean?"
"I don't know," I admitted and he didn't press the issue. He obviously didn't want to know, and even if he did, I didn't!
He still held my hands between his own, but the moment didn't last long because just then....-
"Sage!" Daniel's voice killed the vibe.
Sage sighed and turned towards the place where Daniel's voice sounded the most.
"What's going on?"
"The girls need to get home now, there's thirty til curfew," Daniel's voice seemed to have a bit of a soberly tone to it. Could that be true? How long had I been out here with Sage? Oh gosh..
"Right, man, just bring the others to the car, I'll get Stone on it," and with that, Sage made his way towards the sleeping driving, who has now been identified as Stone, and shoved him lightly, springing him to life.
I walked toward Sage, tapping him lightly on the shoulder, I said ," Sage, the girls are probably drunk and I don't know what to do, with them I mean,"
"Okay, what do you want me to do about it?" his voice was stern, as if I could this on my own. Which I couldn't.
"They need to sober up," I said slowly, as if unsure whether I was saying the right thing but then I gave up on my lack of knowledge," I don't drink so I don't know how to nurse a hangover!"
Realization flashed across his face, he giggled slightly and then composed himself, "Oooooooh my bad," he took a deep breath as he prepared his teaching notes for me.
Clearing his throat, he told me, " When you get home make sure you take them straight to bed, keep a bucket nearby just in case," he wasn't done but I cut in.
"In case of what?" I asked, honestly, why would they need a bucket?
He gaped at me, "hangovers usually come with the urge to empty your stomache. the bucket is just in case they can't make it to the toilet in time."
It was my turn to stare at him, " puke? as in vomit? as in they're going to be throwing up!"
"Hey, it comes with the alcohol, and stop looking at me like I've grown another head!"
