"Where did he say you should meet him?"
No answer.
"Al, where did he say you should meet him?"
Still no answer.
"Allison," I hissed as I swerved off the road and brought to car to a jolting stop.
That definitely caught her attention since she snapped herself out of her daydream and whipped her head towards me. Taking in my folded arms across my chest, the deep scowl tugging at my lips, curving lines sleeping on my forehead and the obvious annoyance dipping in my brow, she instinctively leaned away, and distanced herself from my angered person.
After a second of recollecting her thoughts, she began to flip through her gold clutch.
"Uh," she stammered," let me check."
Honestly? I thought.
As she pulled out her phone to check the address for the location, I typed in a message to Haylz.
Hayl, how's it going?
-P..
And sent it, making sure it delivered.
Its Marios birthday, Hayl said that he came down yesterday to be with her so that he could go down to his parents beach, which is a 5hour drive away from here, but Hayl thought it'd be nice to spend his actual birthday with him and she left about an hour ago so she should be on the road or maybe stopping to pee. That girl has a bladder the size of a nut. A peanut. She insisted on us going with her but it would never be the same. Besides, I'm kind of hoping that Sage calls. I haven't heard from him since the day at the mall and yesterday we were supposed to be doing something together. He hasn't called or texted yet so he might be with Natasha.
When he left, I can't deny that my heart sunk, I put on the best smile I could muster because it was her birthday and I couldn't stop him from leaving me, his friend, to be with her.
I wonder if they made it official.
So when Hayl asked us to tag along, I wasn't hesitant to decline, I encouraged her to do this on her own so the surprise wouldn't be ruined by her having to babysit us the whole time.
Don't get me wrong, I love Mario but I dont want to be that friend.
"The park near the mall," Al said, straightening in her seat and smiling nervously at me. I rolled my eyes as I slowly brought the car back onto the road.

"Where is he?" she asked, gazing around with her hand on her chin and fingers in her mouth, biting anxiously on her perfect nails.
Slapping her hand away to prevent her from ruining her freshly manicured nails, I glanced down at my watch and noticed that there were still ten minutes until Parker was susposed to be here.
Looking back up, my breath caught in my throat as I took in the beauty of the sight before me.
Al stood tall, in a pale-rose coloured dress that clung to her torso and spun around her legs, stopping just above her knee; with a pair of white pumps. Her hair was braided in a loose french plait down her back, and I envied the length that sat just above her hips and was tied with a coloured ribbon that matched her dress. Of course I didn't miss the gold bangles that dangled on her wrists since they were dancing in the light breeze that passed by at the right moment, which gave me the opportunity to catch her sweet scented perfume that spun around her. She's always been on point when it came to her attire and seeing her look so put together after yesterdays events make me grateful to Parker for his ability to challenge Al to get back to what she knows best.
