"Is it?" I asked, letting my eyes wash over his face as he smiled at me.
Before he could answer, my phone began to ring and I jumped at the unexpected vibration coming from my phone along with my ringtone.
"Hello?" I asked into the phone.
"Where are you?" Haleys voice sounded stressed out.
"Uh," I tried to think of a location," Arcade?"
"Im coming to you then, Al is driving me insane with all the material-talk."
And with that, she hung up. I leapt to my feet and gestured for Sage to take my hand.
"Let's go," I said reluctantly, "they're looking for us."
He sighed but shuffled to his feet, dusting himself off. Taking my hand in his, causing the pink tint on my cheeks to burn, we started jogging towards the mall.
After realising that he wasn't sure where we were supposed to go. Tugging on his hand, now warm in my own, I nodded towards the staircase we had to take to get to the arcade but he shook his head and pointed towards the elevator. I shrugged and we entered the waiting shaft, Sage pressed the floor that we required and watched as the door closed.
I looked around the small room, feeling the shaft moving upwards.
"So the arcade?" he asked in a monotonous voice.
"The arcade." I confirmed watching my feet as I did so.
Wondering whether he would go through with the deal or not made me smile inwardly
"What's with the goofy grin?" he snickered.
"Nothing," I blushed, keeping my gaze on the floor as I thought about the kiss we would share.
Oh no
"Paige, what was that?" he asked turning to face me.
"Uh?" I didn't know where it came from, to be honest, I hadn't giggled like that since I was thirteen when Jordan bought me a box of chocolates on Valentines Day. You can imagine my excitement, I had the biggest crush on him back then.
Sigh
It feels good to speak of that crush in the past tense. I wonder why he had given me those chocolates, maybe he liked me?
Ha ha, No.
"Paige!" Sage shoved me lightly causing me to snap out of my thoughts and turn my attention to his eyes that glistened with amusement.
"What?" I laughed, embarrassed at my little outburst.
"Did you just giggle?" he asked, now laughing.
"No!" I was quick to defend myself ," I was just thinking!"
"About me?" he tried? lifting his brow slightly but that didn't mean that I didn't see the faint blush rising onto the surface of his cheeks.
"Yeah." I smirked, making his blush deepen by staring into the chocolate orbs he called eyes.
The elevator doors opened to reveal a severely upset Haley.
"Where have you been, you said you'd be here!" she errupted.
Breaking our gaze, I turned towards her, a scowl evident on my face.
