Hey ya! Sorry for not updating in awhile. As a treat, I promise to update again this week (maybe tomorrow!). And just so you guys know, I'll be changing the title of the story from "Be Mine Again" to "My Cinderella Story". I leave an author's note when I do. Just have to get a new cover going and I'll update it.
Anyways happy reading!
Song "Perfect" by One Direction
I stare at my reflection in the mirror trying to fool myself and my eyes that I like what I see but I knew it was pointless. Me, someone like me, is about to go out with someone like Christian. I couldn't even put on anything decent due to my bruises so I settle for a long navy blue button up and some black jeans. I did curl my long red hair and apply some makeup to compensate for my lack of wardrobe. Once again, I couldn't figure out why I was trying so hard when this was only a friendly meeting.
I sat in the living room, waiting for Christian to pick me up. He insisted on driving me, not wanting another accident. I pray nonstop that my brother doesn't show up like last time and thank the lord when he didn't.
My phone beeped with a new text message and it was to let me know that he was outside waiting. My heart suddenly starts racing wildly and my palm sweating.
"Just breath Mellie, breath." Wiping my palms off my sides, I walk out.
Hopping in his car, I inhale the distinct aroma of cologne and cigarettes that I had gotten used to and actually like.
"Hey Amelia you look lovely. Ready for our rendezvous?" He smirks handsomely and wickedly at me taking my every sense of calm away.
"R..r...ready as I'll ever be." I replied trying not to sound too timid.
"Okay let's go!" he said stepping on the gas.

Christian took us to have dinner at a more relaxed place than I would have imagined. It was a small diner at the skirts of town, 'a hidden gem' he called it, that did have the most amazing hamburgers that I've ever tasted.
We enjoyed conversation about our lives, past, present and future. I learned about his parents and he learned about mine. I am a little shock that we can both speak so openly about our parents and our lives to each other. His parents are the couple that everyone envied. They had the love story that everyone wishes to experience in life. This was the reason why he loved romance novel so much.
When we were fully stuffed, it was just about time to head to the movie theater.
"Amelia, the things I told you up until now, I've never told anyone before. I don't know why but I just feel comfortable with you. Like I know my secrets are safe with you. It's like I've known you forever." He said staring at my intently.
"It's funny I feel the same way too. Like I've known you for so long and can trust you." I said nervously picking at my napkin on the table. "It's odd isn't it? Who would ever imagine us being friends."
I look to meet his eyes and I thought for a second I saw his eyes harden before lightening up again. "Yeah, I wouldn't have imagined in a million years. You know, I'm glad that you shut me up that time. Look where it put us." He smiles genuinely.
"Mmmh." I nod at him and return his smile ignoring the slight uncertainty at the back of my mind.
"Lets go before we are late for the movie." He said setting a twenty-dollar bill on the table.
"Oh here's my share." I said digging into my purse.
"Don't be ridiculous. I'm the man, I asked you out, so I'm treating... For the whole date." He added winking at me.
