Sorry for the late update! I hope you all enjoy! =)
I thought, when I had first saw Christian again, was the worst time of my life. The worst reunion. The sound of his voice had scared me and I wanted to get as far away from him as possible. I thought nothing would compare to that moment. Until now.
My step brother, Jackson, sat in the middle of my living room. As he stares at me with his pure evil gaze and his sinister smile, all I wanted was to get hit by a bus or have lightning strike me where I stand. Any kind of death would be better than being in the presence of him. I wished over and over again that I had invited Christian to stay the night.
"J..J..Jackson..." Even the name slipping out of my mouth tasted like death. I swallowed hard. I wanted to turn and run back out the door, shout for Christian to come back. But I was frozen where I stand. I know damn well I wouldn't make it far anyways, I never did in the past.
"Come here, little sis," he ordered calmly, but I knew damn well it was a trick. He was always calm at first, and then the harsh beating came after.
When my legs refuse to move, he repeated himself only louder this time. "I said, come here."
Reluctantly, my legs start moving. With each heavy step, I tried brainwashing myself. It's just a beating. I've been through it. He'll beat me and then take money and leave like how he always do. It's just a beating Millie, you can take it.
I stop a couple feet away from him, too afraid to go any closer. He looked different yet it was definitely him. His hair was cut shorter and his arms and chest were bulkier. It only made him look more menacing.
He gets up from the couch making my body involuntary jerk. I look down at my feet, refusing to look into those evil eyes that promise revenge.
"My, my, my. Our Millie sure did grow up to be a beautiful woman," he said his presence closing in on me. "What happen to my fat little sis?"
He grabs my chin with his fingers and lifts my face to look at him. That made me shake harder and I can feel tears forming at the corner of my eyes.
He looks at my teary eyes and smile, "It's okay Millie, I won't do anything to you. I realized that I was wrong while in prison. I've been good. See, I even got out early for good behavior."
That's right, it's only been four years. He was sentenced to five. But how did he find me?
"What... what do you want?" I was able to get that question out. "I have money. Take whatever you want."
"Now why would you say that?" he fakes hurt letting go of my chin. He lets his finger slide down my neck to my shoulder. He steps back, his gaze moved from my face to my body.
"You really did get beautiful." He returned his gaze to my face and my breath caught in my throat. I knew that look. The same look that Christian gives me often. Except this time, I wanted to throw up in my mouth. I can read right through his face to his disgusting thoughts.
"Don't touch me," I swatted his hand away and took a step back.
He laughed out loud, the sound ringed in my ears spreading new waves of goosebumps on my skin. "Not only did my baby sis get more beautiful but she's gotten a new attitude too."
Suddenly the smile disappeared and his face darkened, "This should be fun."
I thought I couldn't get any more afraid, but my heart sank deep into the pit of my stomach. What the hell is Jackson thinking in his sick twisted mind? Though not by blood, we are brother and sister.
