Last update for now. I'll be going vacation for spring break so won't update for two weeks or so. As always please comment and vote! Enjoy! =)
"You are shitting me?" I gasped at the amount Riley told me.
"I dead serious," Riley said, "Can you believe it, I knew your work was amazing. You sold a painting before the event started."
"I can't believe it," I kind of directed it to myself.
"Yes and the buyer wants to meet you personally tomorrow too so please look your finest, he's a very important client."
"Definitely. I would love to thank the buyer personally too."
"Okay see you tomorrow."
I hung up the phone staring at my bedroom ceiling lying on my back.
"This is so unreal. Thank you mom and dad." I smile closing my eyes.

I stepped into the gallery foyer dressed up in the green dress with my hair pull up in a messy bun. The makeup on my face was enough to accentuate my blue eyes but not overdo it. I was stand there amaze at the turnout. The crowd so far was a decent size, everyone dressed in their best outfits and riches. I nervously pulls a loose hair back behind my ear, knowing I will never compare to the likes of these people.
James was just up ahead talking to a couple when he saw me. Excusing himself, he comes towards me with a huge grin on his face.
"Congratulations Millie!" he hugs me, "I'm so excited for you!"
"Thank you so much James!" I return the hug.
"Riley is in the office waiting for you. Go on back there."
"Oh I'm so nervous meeting the man who shell out twenty g's for a new artist."
"You will be fine. To these people a million bucks is pocket change."
"That's what scares me." I said.
He chuckles, "see you two out here soon."
Giving him a nod and a smile, I headed towards the back to where the office is located. I knock before entering and Riley calls me in. She was sitting at her desk but quickly got off when she sees me and gives me a big hug.
"Oh this is all so exciting Millie! Congrats!"
"Thank you!"
"And my my my, you look wonderful!"
I can feel my cheeks warm a little. "Thanks, I tried."
"You don't need to try honey, you're a natural."
She returns to her desk opening the drawer, "Now down to business."
She pulls out small piece of paper I can only assume is the check. "This my dear, is your ticket to fame."
"Now he's on his way here as we speak and is a very important client so play nice dear," she added.
"Who is this person?" I asked as she hands me over the check.
"The owner of this building and many buildings in New York City. His name is–"
"Christian Zain..." I whispered. My heart hammered out of my chest. This cannot be right, this can't be happening now. I never knew that the Galleria was part of Zain Properties. He was so close this whole time and I didn't even know.
