Chapter 26

Amelia

I awoke with a delicious sore this morning. My body ached but in all the right places. Christian is indeed an animal. He woke me up two more times throughout the night and at dawn to make love to me. A blush crept to my cheeks just replaying everything. I can't believe we did it.

Reluctantly, I get out of the tub and wipe myself down. I was eager to downstairs and see Christian. This morning when I woke, there was breakfast already prepared by my bedside and a sticky note he left saying to eat up, take my time, and come downstairs when I'm ready because he has a surprise for me.

Descending the grand staircase, a guard had advised me where to find Christian. As I entered the doors leading to the family room, I was immediately greeted with two pairs of male eyes and a pair of very knowing and curious female eyes.

"Good morning sunshine. Or shall I say noon?" Sarah said in a teasing voice.

Oh God. I glanced past her to the clock on the wall and it read ten after twelve. I was beyond embarrassed. Tom was standing next to Sarah, brows arched. With a knowing smile he gives me a nod.

Christian walks up to me and gathers me into his arms before placing a warm kiss on my forehead.

"How are you feeling?" he asked with a hint of mockery.

Not now you dork!

"Fine," I quickly replied shyly pulling away from him.

He chuckles before taking my hand and ushering me over to Tom and Sarah. I gave both of them greetings and hugs ignoring the fact that they were well aware of what happened last night between Christian and I.

"What's the occasion?" I asked all three of them.

"As you already know, I'm busy searching for your step brother. Since I can't always be here with you, I've asked Sarah to come stay with you during my time of absent while Tom help with the search. I know I promise not to leave you alone but I can't just let that bastard get away with what he did to you. I'm hoping that a familiar face will help you keep your mind off unnecessary things." Christian explained.

"Are you disheartened that it will be me you'll be stuck with?" Sarah feigns hurt.

"Not at all," I reassured her but was a little sadden that Christian will be gone already.

"Great because we'll have an amazing time. And we can all Jenny!" she exclaimed taking hold of my hands. I saw her eyes strayed on the bruise on my face but quickly averted her gaze. Right away I knew Christian probably prohibited them from asking or talking about it. Although I'm sure he had informed them about what happened.

"Yes! That sound's great!" I gave her an 'it's okay' type of smile.

After a quick meeting between Tom and Christian, they came to fetch me and Sarah from our girl talk to say their goodbyes.

Christian pulled me tight against his chest and hugged me like I was his lifeline. Cupping my face with one of his huge hand he kisses me through and through. When he finally let's go, he breathes, "I will be back tonight. I don't know when but before midnight for sure. Don't stay up and wait for me if you get too tired." He leans closer to my ears and whispered, "I'll make sure to wake you up deliciously."

Flames lit my cheeks and he chuckles boyishly. Placing one last perfect kiss on my forehead he lets me go and head off with Tom.

"Okay, love bird, what to do?" Sarah said breaking the love haze I was in.

Sarah and I spent the rest of the afternoon catching up, doing some online shopping with Christian's card that we found lying on his work desk - that Sarah found, although I forbid it Sarah teased that we already slept together so his money is as good as mine. The amount spent, to me, was insanely a large sum but once again, Sarah said that Christian won't mind when he finds out what we mostly bought was in the lingerie department. Plus, she said my closet was too empty for someone "dating" a Zain.
