"Jenny! Babe stop!" Avery frantically shouted.

I watch as Avery chase Jenny down the steps, my pulse racing with every loud thud that came from their feet hitting against metal. The only thing running through my mind is Amelia can't know, not like this.

It didn't take Avery long to catch up to her and grab her wrist in his hand stopping her from going any further. I jogged the couple steps towards them stopping just a few feet away.

"Let go of me you evil jerk!" Jenny shouted desperately twisting her wrist to get out of his grip, "I heard everything!"

"Baby it's not what you think, I swear," Avery said.

"Oh yeah, what is it then huh? I'm sure that skank over there," she said pointing a finger at Sarah, "just announced your nasty plan to get back at Amelia and said I pretty much ruined it when we started dating!"

I stayed back, assessing the situation, or more like thinking what to do now to get out of this mess. I know Jenny and Amelia are best friend and for sure if we don't convince the girl to keep her mouth shut, Amelia will hear about this as soon as she gets away from us.

Jenny's accusing voice brought me out of my thought, "And you! Are the biggest ass in the whole universe!" she was pointing at me now. "Do you even know how much she loves you? She's done nothing but be nice to all of you! How dare you guys think of plotting something so evil against her!"

She turns her attention back to Avery, "Let go of me Avery, we are through! You are the second biggest jerk in the universe...."

I tune her voice out. Jenny is absolutely right. I am the biggest ass ever. I know I'm going to be drown in guilt for the rest of my life if I didn't fix this. And so, there is only one thing I can do. Tell the truth.

"I'll tell her," I said. They didn't hear me though since they were too busy going at it.

"I will tell her!" I shouted loud this time.

Jenny stops struggling and turn her attention to me, her face was stained with tears. Even Avery turned to look at me giving me a face that said "have you gone insane?"

"You're not serious?" asked Sarah rushing to us with the book Jenny dropped in hand.

"Very," I replied. I keep my eyes on Jenny to let her know I am dead serious.

"I don't trust you. Any of you." She eyes all of us.

"Let's go somewhere private and talk." I made my way down the rest of the stairs knowing that Avery will bring her along.

We ended up at my house. All of us, sitting in the family room and facing each other. Or more like everyone's eyes is on me. I explained, from beginning to end hoping that Jenny will understand us, understand me. I told her about our plan, how I wanted to shame her, how I slowly crawled my way into her world just to make her trust me, how I told everyone to be nice to her, and how I madly fell in love with her.

"You just walked in on us talking at the wrong time. We weren't planning to go through with the plan anymore. I was just telling them that we're going to keep this secret to ourselves. But I'm sure that's not an option anymore."

When I was finished, she looked troubled and a little uncertain. "How am I suppose to trust you?"

"I love her, Jenny. I really do. I know I fucked up bad. I guess you're just gonna have to give me the benefit of the doubt." I ran a hand though my hair, "And I promise to tell her."
