After I had made a full recovery, Ed and I went to travel the world. Alphonse went to the east while Ed and I went to the west.

I don't think I could've stayed in one place one second longer.

I had just gotten my sight back, and I wanted to see the world.

We had been traveling for almost a year when Ed had broken his automail leg, so we were currently on a train back to Resimbol to have Winry take a look at it.

"You know, Ed. If you didn't to chase those kids around for calling you short, you wouldn't have broken your leg, and I wouldn't have to be supporting your weight right now."

I was currently being used as a human crutch by my boyfriend. It sucked.

"Well I'm sorry for defending my dignity!" He huffed. I sighed.

"Ed, they were like, 10."

"My point still stands!"

"Whatever, lets just get your lazy ass over to Winry's."

I hauled him up and was carrying him on my back. Despite my looks I was abnormally strong, and I probably could still take Edward in a fight easily.

After I had gotten Ed to Winry's, and she had knocked him out with that deadly wrench, I went upstairs to the old room I shared with Ed and passed out on the bed.

It was several hours before I was woken up by some big news.

--------
Winry's POV

I was tightening the last screws in Ed's leg when something fell out of his pocket.

I looked over to where the thing landed only to find a small, royal blue, velvet box. My eyes widened with recognition as I knew what the box was.

"OMG OMG OMG OMG OMGEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" I squealed as I picked up the little box and opened it.

Contained inside the pretty box was a stunning diamond ring with a silver band.

It was a wedding ring. Ed was going to propose to (Y/N).

Ed was blushing furiously as I just fangirled some more.

"When?!?!" I asked him.

"I was planning on doing it tomorrow, but knowing you I'm gonna do it today. Am I right?" He said.

"YEP!"

I helped Ed up and sprinted up the stairs with a frantic Ed in tow. I opened the door to the guest room and found (Y/N) sprawled out like a starfish on the bed.

I handed the now incredibly nervous Ed the box and pushed him in.

He looked around the room for something when he found a large box filled with wooden sticks that were about five feet long.

I was confused until I remembered a story Ed had told me about the first time he had woken (Y/N) up.

I now realized what the stick was for.

He stood as far away from the sleeping girl as possible, and poked her arm slightly.

The reaction was instantaneous.

(Y/N) had a knife in her hand and more than half of the pole was now laying on the ground. It had been sliced off.

She was fully alert and glanced over at Ed.

"Oh, hey babe." She said as she dropped the knife, discovering that there was no danger to herself or those around her.

Ed was now stuttering like an idiot as he fumbled with the box behind his back.

I went behind him and nudged him forward. Encouraging him to go for it.

He stuttered some more and tripped over his words. Finally I just ripped the box from his hands and handed it to an extremely concerned (Y/N).

Ed went over to the emo corner of embarrassment as (Y/N) opened the box.

She looked at the ring carefully, examining it closely with an expressionless face as Ed glanced over at her.

"So you want me to marry you?" She asked.

Ed nodded furiously, wishing he could just melt into the floor.

"Ok." She stated simply and smiled a big, bright, smile. It was filled with joy and happiness that could be expressed no other way.

I just smiled at the two, admittedly unusual lovebirds as they embraced and kissed.

I closed the door behind me as I made my escape.

Yep. Match made it heaven.

------------
6 years later

"Mommy? Tell us the story of how daddy asked you to marry him." Maya asked in her little 5 year old voice.

"You've heard the story a thousand times already. Don't you want to hear a different story?" I asked as Edward chuckled from his spot in the kitchen as he fed our 3 year old son, Maes. He was smiling as he watched me ponder what kind of story Maya would want to hear. She loved hearing funny stories from when Ed and I had first met, from the missions Ed went on, and about my time at Fort Briggs.

Her favorite story was about how Ed proposed. I always started it by saying that it wasn't Ed that even proposed to me. She knew every word as I recounted how it was actually Winry who gave me the ring, and Ed was just off to the side impersonating a tomato in the corner of the room.

I decided to tell her about when I first got my sight back, another one of her favorites. Her eyes lit up and she hung off every word as I told her my first reaction, and then they got wide when I told her the first time I ever really saw Ed.

"You're more beautiful than I ever could have imagined." I heard Ed say as he butted into the conversation.

"Well it was true. You were the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes after so many years. I really was lucky, you could've been ugly." I teased him.

Maya, the little sarcastic girl she is (she gets it from me) said-

"Wow mommy. You have really low standards."

Ed just stood there shocked as I laughed my ass off.

"That's definitely your kid." Ed sweatdropped.

"She definitely is."
