Rhydian stared at the girl, "What are you doing here?"
The girl, Demetra, rolled her eyes, her hand still out, "Are you just going to keep asking me that question until I answer it?"
Rhydian turned back to the river, "Just leave," He said nonchalantly.
Demetra let out a fake sigh,"Okay, then I guess you don't want to her the news about Maddy." She played, exaggerating Maddy's name.
Maddy?
At the mention of Maddy's name Rhydian looked up from the river, now interested. "Maddy?"
He turned around but the girl was gone. He used his wolf senses and caught Demetra's scent and ran the way she went.
When he found her she was on top of a tree looking at stuff from her paper sack. She looked away from her paper sack and saw Rhydian. She jumped down. "What do you want?" She asked him in an annoyed tone.
Rhydian crossed his arms, "You were going to say something about Maddy." He snarled.
Demetra snickered, "Oh yes, your girlfriend! Well, if I tell you this, you can't tell those human friends of hers, Timmy and Shelby".
Rhydian arched his eyebrows, Timmy and Shelbym "Um, you mean Tom and Shannon?"
"Whatever", Demetra snapped and rolled her eyes again.
"Go on, tell me!" Rhydian shouted.
"Okay geez, calm down." Demetra said.
"So, it happened about three months ago. So Maddy and Jana were running through the woods early in the morning. Jana told us that Maddy crashed into a Redwood tree-"
"Is she alright?" Rhydian interrupted.
Demetra bit her lip, suddenly quiet, "Yeah, about that..."
