"What do you mean?" Rhydian said with a little panic, "she's not-"

"Dead? No, but..." Demetra started, " When she crashed into the tree, she was in a one and a half month coma, and lost her memory. She has Amnesia."

Rhydian stared. Could this girl be lying to him? Was she saying this just to make fun of him? She just randomly showed up, she  could be lying. But when he looked at her grey eyes he saw the seriousness in them. He took a shakey breath, "When did this happen?"

"Almost two months ago." Demetra said.

"Why did Jana send you?"

"She didn't."

Rhydian blinked. "You mean, you came without permission?"

Demetra shrugged, "Permission is the goody-goody way."

Rhydian didn't know what to think. Right when he was going to look for Maddy it was already too late and now he can't even see her without her knowing who he is. No, it cour be true. It just couldn't!

"Then," he said, "why did you wait so late to tell me." Stuttering towards the end.

"I didnt, I've been trying to track you since I got the news from Jana. When I first met Maddy, all she talked about was Stoneybridge, her human life, and you. When I was trying to track you, I didn't have anything to track you with, but your brother, Bryn, told me you lived in Stoneybridge, so I spent almost two months trying to find it."

Rhydian felt his heart stop. "Bryn helped you? W-Why?"

"Because he wants to see you again!" Demetra answered harshly, "Now, on to my point, the only reason I came here is beacuse I want you to come back to the wild pack with me so you can help the pack find a way to cure Maddy."

Rhydian though for a moment and began pacing, trying to let the thought sink in.

Okay, he thought, so I can choose to stay here for a few days with my family and friends, or I can go to the pack with this weird kid, but there might be some consequences if I leave without telling anyone.

Rhydian sighed, "Okay, I'll go but I have to tell Tom and Shannon first-"

"No" Demetra interrupted

Rhydian stared at her,"Why not?"

Demetra sat down and took some dried up meat from her sack and began to eat it,

"Because the pack still isn't used to humans even when Jana is trying. And plus, they wouldn't survive in the wild. Humans can't adapt to raw meat fast enough and they aren't as fast as us."

Rhydian let out a fustrated sigh, he couldn't go on a sudden expedition without his partners in crime, it just wouldn't work. "Then I can't go without my best mates,"

Demetra laughed, "You really need your human friends with you? A wolfblood?" she started to laugh harder.

Rhydian rolled is eyes, annoyed at this teen. Were they always like that? "What are the consequences if I don't go?" He asked.

"Well first, you may never see your family and friends again." Demetra started, "Two, we'll most likely consider you as human, and three, Maddy will never remember you for the rest of her life, and we want her to be happy again."

Rhydian huffed. He didn't want to leave Stoneybridge so soon, but he wanted to see Maddy. He knew that if he left, there might be another man hunt. Out of all the consequences, anything but this.

Demetra got up, clearly tired of the conversation, "If you change your mind, just come back to this tree before sundown tomorrow," she put her paper sack in her mouth and climbed back up the tree.

Do you think Rhydian should go to the wild pack with Demetra? Post it in the comments below before going in to the next chapter, and please follow. Today is my dad's birthday so I'm not going to post another update for a while and I'm sorry I made this chapter shorter than I promised. I also published a new story called Rich Has Rules: Rhinestone Academy. That story was written by me, not a fan ficition.

I also won't post another update for a while because I need poeple to comment on what they think Rhydian is going to do. I also need at least four or five comments on this chapter before I can post the next update so it can give me some time to work on it.
