Wolfbloods of Stoneybridge Part 1 (Wolfblood Fanfiction)

Chapter 8

As Maddy listened to the girl explain how she was Maddy Smith and how she was a wolfblood. The girl finally told Maddy that her name was Jana, mostly imploding her mind.

''So,'' Jana said,''do you remember anything?''

Maddy shook her head. Jana bit her lip, ''So who don't remember Rhydian?''

Maddy looked at Jana, confused. ''Who?''

''Your boyfriend?''

''My what?''

Jana stood up, ''I've got to get your memory back, Maddy''. Jana began to walkto the door but stopped, ''You can go outside , no one will hurt you'', and she walked out the door.

Maddy grabbed the thing that Jana put on her lap and stuffed it in her mouth. It tasted great. After she finished eatting, she walked to the door, tooke a deep breath and walked outside.

She passed by groups of people. They stared at her but didn't attack her. Maddy passed by a man and woman who hugged her tight when they saw her. ''Oh dear gods Maddy,'' the woman said, ''I'm so glad you're alright!'' The man took the woman off of Maddy, ''Emma dear, she doesn't remember us''. The woman sighed, ''Oh, yeah''. She turned to Maddy, ''We're your mum and dad, your parents.''

Maddy nodded awkwardly and walked on. Then a young boy with dark hair walked up to her, ''Such a shame,'' he said, ''I was going to ask you if you still crying over Rhydian.''

Maddy looked at him,''That's the second time I've heard his name. I asked Jana, but she just told me that he is my boyfriend.''

The kid raised his eyebrows surprisingly, ''Your what?!''

''That's what I said''.

At that moment, a woman with the same coloured hair as the boy walked over to them. ''Bryn,'' she said angrily, ''don't run off while we're eatting!'' She grabbed the boy and pulled him away.

Maddy sighed and walked over to Jana. Jana smiled when she saw Maddy and beckoned her to sit next to her, Maddy sat down and watched the two other people that we're sitting with them eat. But Maddy kept hearing other people's conversations. She kept hearing people say the words: ''Rhydian...memory...wolfblood.''

Who's Rhydian? she thought.

But at that moment, someone yelled something that pulled her out of her thought.

''Oi! Where's Demetra?!''

Everyone stopped what they were doing and started looking around and sniffing the air.

These people are like animals Maddy thought.

Jana got up and so did the other two people she was sitting with. ''Wait here,'' Jana told eveyone, and she and the other two walked into the woods, away from the clearing where everyone had camped.

Maddy got up and walked over to her parents, ''Is Jana in charge?'' she asked.

Her parents nodded, ''And those other two are her betas, or second and third in charge'' her dad said.

Then, Jana and the betas came back running from the woods. ''HUMAN HUNTERS!'' Jana shouted and everyone got up quickly, grabbed sacks of meat, folded up the woven tents and ran the opposite direction. Maddy didn't understand what was going on, but she followed everyone else.

It felt like they were running for days, until Jana finally stopped everyone. ''Okay, we're far enough. We've been running for almost an hour.''

Everyone put down the sacks, folded the tents back up and sat down to catch their breaths.

Maddy looked over at Jana, ''Who's Demetra?''

Jana looked at Maddy and bit her lip, ''My second in command's daughter''
