frank smiled. "i knew that wasn't your real name."
"if you knew, then why didn't you point it out before?" gerard cocked his head to the side.
"i wanted you to admit it yourself." frank said, still smiling.
"i hate you." gerard playfully pushed frank off the bench.
he smirked. "no, you don't."
"yes, i do." gerard nodded, not looking at frank.
"yes you do."
"i know i do."
"damn it, i thought i would get you!" frank laughed.
"nope." gerard smiled. there was silence between the two, until frank had decided to say something.
"just admit it, gerard," frank said in a serious voice. "you love me."
"i don't." gerard responded.
"uh-huh, we'll see about that."
"what's that supposed to mean?"
"nothing." frank said, standing up.
"are you going now?" gerard said solemnly.
"yes, and so are you." almost on cue, the train pulled up as frank spoke. the train doors opened in front of the two, but they were immediately pushed away from them as people started pouring in.
luckily, frank had a hold of the rail. he held a hand out to gerard, indicating him to grab it. gerard quickly gathered his things and clutched onto frank's hand. frank pulled gerard in, almost embracing him. the door closed just as gerard stepped in.
the train was packed. everyone was pressed up against each other, including gerard and frank.
frank noticed how much gerard was blushing, being against him like this came as a shock to both of them, especially gerard.
"you okay?" frank asked, noticing how faint gerard was becoming.
"i'm-it's just cl-claustro-um, claustrophobia." gerard was heavily breathing, frank knew it was going to go bad soon.
"you've never been on the subway before?" frank kept talking to gerard, trying to keep him calm and conscious.
"i h-have, just not-ya know-not this tight-tightly packed." gerard began to stutter.
frank displayed a worried emotion on his face. "you'll be fine, right?"
"uh-uh-huh." gerard nodded. frank snaked his arms around gerard's waist, holding him tight. gerard didn't seem to notice, which to frank was a good thing. frank didn't want to admit, but he was falling for gerard. he himself is bisexual, but he didn't know if gerard would accept him, nor knew if gerard was bisexual either.
the train stopped 5 times, with more and more people stepping in, making the train more compacted. gerard was practically smushed against the door, though frank was trying to pull him closer, preventing gerard's face from being squished.
"so where do you live gerard?" frank asked, still attempting to keep gerard alive.
"not-not too far f-from he-here. i think th-this is where i get off." gerard barely had air in him. he looked like he could collapse at any second.
once the train stopped and the doors opened, frank let go of gerard and stepped off with him.
"look, you survived!" frank jokingly laughed.
gerard chuckled. "yeah, barely." he smiled. "where do you live?"
"oh actually... i'm homeless."
