frank finished his jam session and thought it was rude that he wasn't talking to mikey. he went outside and decided to speak to him.
"so mikey-"
he was gone. no note or anything. frank assumed he had left, seeing as the tv was turned off.
he shrugged. he was alone. it was almost 2pm, gerard should be getting home soon. frank impatiently waited for his friend to get home.
3pm rolls around soon, and frank is still alone, thinking of gerard. he kept smiling when he remembered that gerard said he made him happy. frank wish he could tell gerard how he felt, but he didn't know how gerard would feel or react. i just don't have the balls to do it, frank said to himself. when will i?
he didn't think over it too long. he had only become friends with the guy yesterday, and now they share an apartment. in retrospect, frank thought he was extremely invasive and rude. he wish he could start all over.
"hi, my name is frank."
god, what were you thinking, frank? he thought. why did you even talk to him?
oh, that's right. you just wanted to know if he was okay.
frank calmed himself down and took a deep breath. he was overthinking, that's it. he went back to waiting and wait-
"frankie!" gerard burst through the door with a little, poorly wrapped box in hand, and his backpack full of paper sticking out here and there. he didn't look as fancy as he was looking yesterday, which frank thought was odd.
"hi gerard," frank stood up to see gerard, he was about to hug him, but he didn't. "i was waiting forever."
"haha, well no more waiting, i'm home now! and it's a friday, i don't have classes tomorrow or sunday." gerard put his bag and the box down. "did you go out today?"
frank nodded. "i just went to go get a coffee and some food. by the way, i bought you a croissant."
"cute." gerard said, looking at the croissant on his counter. frank was blushing, and tried to hide it.
"oh hey," frank said, breaking the silence. "mikey was here a few hours ago."
"oh mikey?" gerard's attention was quickly caught. "did he tell you what he needed?"
frank shook his head. "he just came in here, we talked, and he watched tv. that was pretty much it."
gerard chuckled. "he probably wanted to talk to me about something. it's okay, i'll call him later." gerard perked up. "oh! speaking of calling, i finally got enough money to buy something special for you."
gerard shoved the box towards frank. "for me?" frank asked.
"yeah." gerard nodded as he pulled his phone out to record frank.
"i know it's big, since you're recording me open it." frank unwrapped the box slowly to see an iphone box covered in tape and bits of wrapping paper. "gerard..."
"yeah?" gerard smiled, biting his lip.
"you didn't..." frank shook his head. "no way..."
"gerard way!" gerard happily said behind the camera.
"oh my god." frank collapsed onto gerard. he hugged him tightly around his neck and he couldn't resist letting go. he felt gerard pull him closer as his arms snaked around his waist. gerard had put his phone down, just to hug the small frank.
they were embracing for what seemed like forever. frank didn't let this moment slip by, and neither did gerard. something had hit gerard that moment though. he thought to himself, am i falling for frank?
