//get it?? instead of "new me" it's "new gee??" the puns in this book are out of this world i swear//
gerard woke up on the couch with drool running down the pillow. he got up and brushed his hair out of his face, obviously unprepared to start the day. he had wanted to get a haircut today, actually, and it was something he might do.
he took a shower and headed out. he got nothing from frank for the past 15 hours, he wanted to file a missing person's report, but he had a feeling that frank was alright.
Hi Gerard.
So, I know you have no clue who I am, but I found Frank Iero. He was lost in Harlem. I let him stay a night at my house, and I will be glad to drive him back home today. I'm giving you this update, just so you aren't worried. Have a nice day! :)
gerard heard his phone ringing. he turned it on to see a random number texting him about frank. he was as anxious as ever to respond.
thank you so much, you have no idea how worried i was.
No need to thank me. I'm glad to help.
I'm Hayley Williams.
gerard way. i'm glad that you found him, seriously thank you
I'll be dropping him by your place at around 12pm, does that sound good?
haha awesome! that's fine with me!
Alrighty, see you later Gerard :)
thank you hayley
gerard sighed a breath of relief. frank was okay, he wasn't hurt or kidnapped. thank god.
he exited his apartment building and walked down to a local hairdresser's. he stood in front of the building, seeing as there was a barber and a hairdresser. what's the difference? gerard thought. he shrugged as he entered the hairdresser.
when gerard walked in, he felt this sudden sassy attitude. he kind of had this boost of confidence as well. a woman chuckled as she noticed gerard coming into the shop.
"hi." gerard said to the woman at the front desk.
"hi honey," the woman smiled hysterically. "are you sure you want to get your hair done here?"
gerard raised an eyebrow. "what do you mean?"
"this place is usually for women. the barber is for men." she pointed to the opposite wall, indicating gerard to go there.
instead he shook his head. "gender specific shops don't apply to me." he said with a sassy tone.
the woman eyed him carefully. "i like you." she said as she sat him down and began working on his hair.
gerard told the woman exactly what he had wanted and how he wanted it. the process took a really, really long time, but the end result was totally worth it.
he paid the woman and walked out of the store feeling unusually confident. he definitely got a lot of stares, but he still felt...
fabulous.
when he got home, it was almost 12pm. he waited anxiously and patiently for hayley and frank to arrive at the apartment. he decided to take another shower, just because of his hair honestly. he looked at himself in the mirror, but thought he needed more "pizzazz."
he grabbed some eyeliner from his makeup cabinet and smeared it across his eyes. it definitely gave him a dramatic and theatrical look, and frankly he really liked it.
Hi Gerard! I have Frank, and we're heading up to your place right now!
gerard saw hayley's text and his heart start jumping. he stood by the door, waiting for them to come up.
when he heard the ding of the elevator, his heart did not stop beating. he saw frank, and a short orange haired girl, who he assumed as hayley.
"hi!" hayley said with the biggest smile.
"hi," gerard shook hayley's hand. "you must be hayley."
"yes i am, and you must be gerard."
gerard nodded. "that's me."
"frank has told me a lot about you," she chuckled. gerard felt a slight bit uncomfortable when she said that, but he let it slide. "i'm glad i found frank when i did. he ended up all the way in harlem."
"frank, how did you manage to do that?" gerard laughed.
frank shrugged. "i-i don't read maps."
hayley and gerard chuckled as frank stood there kind of awkwardly.
"thank you so much hayley," gerard gave her a small hug. "how can i repay you?"
"you don't have to, seriously. i'm just glad i could help!" hayley said as she began waving the two off and walking away.
"thank you!" gerard repeated as him and frank walked back into the apartment.
frank immediately jumped onto gerard's back and held him tight. "i'm sorry, i'm really, really sorry."
"frankie," gerard smiled. "it's okay. i understand you were scared."
"i didn't mean to leave i just didn't know what to do - i'm sorry."
"i forgive you."
frank hugged him tighter as gerard couldn't help but smile.
"what happened to your hair by the way?"
"long story."
