bob quickly reacted, sporting two pistols, one in each hand. frank and gerard duck under the counter in fear. frank pulled his phone out and called the police.
bob stood in the line of fire and shot both of the men with one bullet each. he pocketed both of the guns and checked to see if there was anybody else waiting.
"okay, the police are on their way."
"thank you s-so much." frank was shaking. gerard held him close, breathing slowly to calm him down.
"you guys okay?" bob leaned over the counter to check on the two. he saw gerard holding frank who seemed to be emotionally unstable.
"i'm fine, but i don't think frank is." gerard responded.
frank sobbed quietly in his hands as he heard police sirens in the area. he knew they were coming here. he crawled quietly over toward the door to see officer barakat and gaskarth.
"frank?" gerard stood up and looked over to see frank wrapped around officer barakat's waist.
"oh, hello frank." barakat chuckled as he trailed after officer gaskarth, frank still clinging onto him.
gaskarth approached bob and asked him a few questions, as well as gerard and frank. bob told the officers that lyn-z might've been behind this, but they had to take her into questioning as well.
after they did a quick search around the place and collected evidence, they told the three to go home and return in the morning. bob, gerard, and frank parted ways at the scene, bidding farewells and telling each other they'll see them tomorrow.
"are you okay, frank?" gerard stopped walking, which caused frank to do the same.
frank's head was bowed down, hair in his face. he shrugged in visible distress.
"frank." gerard said sternly.
"yeah." frank replied in a deep voice.
"what's wrong?" gerard put an arm around frank, but he still didn't budge.
frank started walking away from gerard, picking up speed as he heard gerard follow behind him.
"frank iero!" gerard stopped, but frank was still running.
gerard watched frank disappear down the road, thinking he wouldn't come back. "frank..."
he started walking in the direction frank ran, hoping to see him as he strolled down the path. he also decided to call dr. toro. he just wanted answers to why frank was acting like this.
"hey gerard!" dr. toro said over the phone.
"hi ray," gerard said, clearing his throat. "frank's been acting really weird today."
"...like how weird?" ray asked.
"we were involved-involved in a shooting tonight, and he was scared outta his mind, i believe. he clung onto a policeman as they surveyed the place, and while we were walking home he just ran off. he looked like he didn't even want to be with me." gerard sighed.
"huh," ray said. "sounds like either ptsd, bipolarity, or he just doesn't want to be near you."
"probably all three."
"no, don't say that. frank loves you. come to the office tomorrow morning, maybe i can see what's up."
"alright, thanks ray."
"no problem, bud, ill see you tomorrow."
