gerard woke up an hour later than usual, and panicked.
that's right, folks—gerard arthur way panicked.
he's normally the calm one in situations like these, but there was so much going on his head. he began reassessing everything.
gerard, dude, it's like, may. you have to get studying in, my man, you're graduating soon, gerard stupidly thought to himself. frank is gone, but he's coming back today right? no need to worry. text him, call him, make sure he's alright. don't worry about lyn-z, she's the LEAST of your problems, dude.
gerard got up and motivated himself to do it all. he rushed to school today, unprepared to run into lyn-z. he knew he couldn't care about her, after what she tried to do to him and frank.
10am, gerard was late to his graphic design class.
"gosh, gosh, gosh." gerard repeated, rushing up the stairs with a load of papers in his hands. he ran into the classroom and sat in the one open seat in the very front of the class.
"mr. way," the professor said. "you're almost fifteen minutes late to class."
"i know," gerard sighed. "i'm sorry."
"it'll cost you, but i'll let it slide."
"thank you." gerard graciously nodded as the class continued.

frank rode almost 7 different trains, going back and forth debating whether which train would take him here or there. after almost two years of riding on subways, he still had no clue how they took him to where he had to be. he had no idea how to read maps, they were always guessed. this time, he knew he could not guess, he had to be right.
frank had hope for this last train. he looked at the map and saw gerard's school at the end of the stop, he knew this had to be it.
Gerard I'm coming home
he anxiously shoved his phone in his pocket as he pleaded for the train to go faster. frank was so excited to come home to gerard again, after what happened last month.
once the train stopped, frank ran off, stopping to the stand in the middle of the station.
what?
harlem?!
"i screwed up." frank whispered to himself as he collapsed in the station. he sat down, head in his hands.
in case you don't know, frank took a train that went farther north from the school, instead of to the school. worst case scenario, frank is almost 65 miles away from home.
fantastic.
//the miles and proportions arent accurate. they're only for exaggeration and story line plotting. if you live in nyc then you know that it technically does take a while to get places, considering all the traffic that's there. i'm just letting you know that so you don't go off in the comments "omg harlem is so close to sva i live near it!!!1!!11" okay well they're for exaggeration I'm sorry pfft//
