<Zane's POV>
Travis and I have been living under the same roof for about 2 weeks now. He sleeps in the guest room as I sleep in mine.
"Zane?" I heard Travis say in a soft voice from behind me. It was 1 in the morning and I was sitting outside with my head in my hands crying. He walked over and sat next to me. I felt his arms around me, pulling me closer. The next thing I know, I'm crying while laying my head on his chest.
"What's wrong?" He asked. I looked up at him and just stared into his emerald green eyes.
"Why me?" I asked.
"Well, you're-"
"I'm such a bad person."
"No you're not. Come on you need to go to sleep."
"You can. I'm going to stay here for a bit." I argued as Travis stood up.
"Come on." He said. I shook my head 'no'. "Zane. I'm being serious. Something is on your mine and I want you to sleep."
"Travis don't worry about it." I replied. Travis sighed and picked me up and threw me over his shoulder.
"Put me down!" I yelled.
"Nope." I could tell he was smirking as he did that.
~
"Travis." I said as he was walking towards my door. He stopped and looked back. "Stay."
"Okay." Travis said and walked back to me. He laid next to me and wrapped his arms around me. I curled up right next to him.
"Zane." Travis whispered.
"Yes, Travis?" I replied.
"Why were you crying?" He softly asked.
"Can we talk about it in the morning, please?" I asked.
"Sure." He answered.
~
I felt my eyes slowly open as the bright sun blinded me. I opened my eyes, fully, and saw Travis opening the blinds.
"Uh, Travis. What are you doing?" I asked, squinting my eyes so I could see. He turned around and smiled.
"What do you mean? I'm opening the blinds to let some light in. Why do you ask?" Travis answered.
"I have them shut for a reason." I said.
"Follow me." He instructed. I sighed while getting out of bed and following him downstairs to the kitchen. Travis got out the stuff to make pancakes and started to make them. I watched him in silence while he continued to make them.
"So, why were you crying outside last night?" He asked. I sighed.
"Why weren't you asleep at that time?"
"Couldn't sleep, so I went downstairs to get some water. Then I saw you crying. Now, tell me what happened."
"Fine. Remember the day you asked me to meet you at the park and you asked me to be yours?"
"Uh... yeah."
"Well, I saw kids playing, laughing, having a good time with their families. It reminded me of how I shut my family out when I was around them. It made me want to go back in time and fix all of that."
"How does this relate to what just happened last night?"
"Just listen. Last night I got a call from my mother."
Travis was about to put some pancake mix in a pan, but he put the mix down, turned off the stove and walked over to the kitchen table I was sitting at. I felt a tear roll down my cheek.
"She said that my father is in the hospital and is well... you know..."
"Shh. It's okay." Travis said as he pulled me into a hug. I hugged him immediately as I started to cry again. Travis was rubbing circles on my back, trying to calm me down.
"M-my fat-ther wasn't the best o-of people b-but I still-l care about him." I stuttered out between words. Travis was still hugging me.
"Do you want to ask your mom to see if we can go see him?" Travis asked. I nodded while still crying on his shoulder. "We can also ask Garroth and Vylad if they want to go as well."
"P-please." I stuttered.
"Okay. Go call your mom while I finish breakfast." He said in a very comforting voice. I nodded and left his comforting arms to go call my mom.

A/n: Well... Now I'm sad. Honestly, I didn't even plan that to happen... I was just writing and that happened.
