<Zane's POV>
It's about 2 weeks before Travis and my wedding. Nothing much has changed. Travis and I have been talking a lot more and stuff. We also told everyone we were engaged, they took it a lot better than my father. Garroth and Laurance are doing good, the same with Vylad and Dante. I've been talking to Garroth and Vylad a lot more, or relationship seems to be repaired from our childhood. My mother moved across from Aaron and Aphmau's house. {A/n: Aphmau moved into Aaron's house when they got married, I kept forgetting to mention that. Oops.}
She also got the divorce papers sighed and approved, so she is now no longer married to my father. Speaking of him, no one knows where his is or what he's doing and no one here seems to care about that. I've seemed to make friends with everyone who's friends with Travis and Aphmau, so my life's doing pretty well and I'm happier than I thought I would ever be.~
"Do you guys want to go in the pool, now?" Aphmau asked. Aphmau and Aaron, invited everyone around their house. Today was a very hot day and if you didn't have a pool, the best option was to stay inside.
"Why can't it be an indoor pool, so we don't have to go into the deadly sun." I complained.
"That would be nice." Aaron agreed. "I wish I had the money for it."
"Don't we all." I added as everyone started to walk into the backyard.
~
Everyone was in the pool, swimming and laughing but me and Aphmau. Neither of us wanted to swim, so we sat on the edge of the pool with our feet in and talked.
"So, are you excited for the wedding?" Aphmau asked.
"I guess." I answered. She looked at me in confusion.
"What do you mean by, 'I guess.' You're supposed to be excited. You still love Travis, right?"
"It's family stuff and I do love Travis more than anything."
"You can tell me. We're friends, right?"
"We are."
"So, why can't you tell me?"
"Fine. My father isn't very supportive over me or my brothers." I felt a tear roll down the side of my face. "And it really hurts to know that."
"I'm sorry, Zane." Aphmau said and threw her arms around me. I instantly hugged her back and started to cry harder in her arms. She started to rub circles on my back, to comfort me.
"I'm so sorry, Zane. You're an amazing person and you don't deserve to be treated like that." Aphmau said, still comforting me. I heard everyone in the pool go silent and someone getting closer to Aphmau and I.
"Zane?" They asked,it sounded like Travis. I looked to them with my face completely red from crying. "Whats wrong?"
"Nothing." I lied, trying not to get him in the situation.
"I know that I'm dumb, but I'm not that dumb. Tell me." He joked making me smile and laugh a bit.
"Just forget it." I replied as Travis jumped up on the pool edge, next to me.
"Zane." He seriously said.
"What?"
"Tell me."
"No."
"I'll get Zianna."
"Okay, fine. I'm just upset about my father, that's it."
"Come, here." Travis said as he hugged me. "I told you to forget about him."
"I know but I can't. It's hard to let it go."
"I understand that but-"
"No you don't."
"Zane, trust me. I know what it's like to have someone in your family not accept you." Travis started as he pulled away from our hug. I wiped the last few tears in my eyes away. "I'm glad I have someone like you to make me forget all of that. You are my family now, everyone here is my family now."
"I love you so much more than you know, Zane." He finished as I smiled.
"I love you too, Travis."

A/n: My goal is to finish this by the end of August and start a new book but I have no clue if I should do a ship or a xreader. I'm taking your suggestions into consideration but I'm afraid if i start a xreader it will be trash, manly because I read them but haven't written one yet. Anyway, if you want to read more stuff by me, comment which one you think I should write or if I should write both. (I just thought of that right now... idk why I haven't thought of that before.)
ALSO, I START SCHOOL AGAIN, ON SEPTEMBER 7, SO IF I DON'T UPDATE, THAT'S THE REASON BUT I WILL TRY.
