Chapter 25: Epilogue

<Zane's POV>

It's been about 2 years since Travis and I got married. We continued to live in my house. Garroth and Laurance are currently engaged, as well as Vylad and Dante. Aphmau and Aaron have two kids, a little girl and boy. My mother is dating some guy and is very happy with him.

Travis and I, we haven't really changed. Nothing is new. Neither of us changed our personalities, I guess that's a good thing.

"Hey, Zane." Travis said. We were sitting on the couch, not really doing anything.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Do you want to adopt a child?" Travis asked.

"I-I... I don't know."

"What's wrong?" Travis asked as he pulled me into a hug.

"Don't you think that's a lot of responsibilities?Also, kids don't like me." I answered as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"We can handle it and if it gets to be a lot, we can ask Aphmau if she would help us. I'm sure she wouldn't mind because she loves little kids." Travis said.

"I never really thought of taking care of a child. Now, that I think about it, sure, let's adopted a kid." I replied as he smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Do you want to go to the adoption now or tomorrow? Also, what age?" He asked.

"Why not right now and I guess around the age of 2."

"Why 2?"

"So they can hang out with Aphmau and Aaron's little kids."

"Smart. Come on, let's go." Travis said and we left to go to the adoption.

"And here's where your bedroom is, Adam." Travis said, to the little 2 year old we adopted today. I smiled at our new adopted son, Adam, as he was clapping his hands. He has dark black hair with bright green eyes.

"We should probably go and get some stuff for his room." I said. Travis turned to me with little Adam in his arms and smiled.

"Yeah, we should. We should also tell everyone we adopted a child, so they don't freak out." Travis said.

"We can invite everyone here for dinner and tell them then." I suggested.

"Okay. Then we also have to go to the store and get some food." Travis added.

I opened the front door to see everyone standing there.

"Sorry this was all on short notice." I said.

"It's no problem. We all love spending time with the both of you." Aphmau replied.

"Well, we-"

"Zane! I need your help!" Travis yelled from inside.

"With what?!" I yelled back. Travis came running to the front door.

"Where did he go?" He said, looking around.

"Don't tell me you lost the kid already." I said.

"Kid?" Aphmau asked. We both ignored her.

"He might of ran of while I wasn't looking." Travis said in his squeaky voice. I sighed.

"And I was just going to say how good you are with kids." I said. "Adam! Come here!"

Suddenly the little two year old came running out from the kitchen with pants on but no shirt. He ran to me as I picked him up.

"Was Travis being mean to you?" I jokingly said Adam. He started laughing.

"Ha ha. Okay, mister 'kids don't like me'." Travis said as he rolled his eyes. "Anyway, everyone, this is Adam. Zane and I adopted him earlier today."

Everyone smiled at the little two year old.

"Go put his shirt on, now please." I said to Travis as I handed over the kid. He nodded as he took Adam and left the room.

"He's so cute." Aphmau said.

"I know." I replied.

"I was talking about Adam, not Travis." Aph joked. Everyone started laughing as my face went bright red.

"Ha ha. I was talking about Adam too." I said as I rolled my eyes.

After everyone left, Travis put Adam to bed. He was very tired after playing with Aphmau's two little ones for hours, nonstop. Travis and I decided to watch some tv before we went to bed. We started talking about the long journey we had, from meeting to getting married to now.

"I love you so much and don't you forget that." Travis said. He pulled me into a kiss as I kiss him back. It was short but sweet.

"I love you too. I don't know how I could love someone else, like how I love you." I said, breaking our kiss.

"Come on. Let's go to bed. I'm tired." Travis suggested. I nodded and followed him to our room.

Travis jumped in bed as I curled up next to him.

'I love my life. I love you, Travis. I love you too, Adam. I couldn't be happier.' I thought as I closed my eyes and slowly fell asleep.
