"I'm so excited for school!"
I have never ever heard anyone mutter that phrase.
Except for myself.
Did I not get the memo?!?! Why does everyone hate it? More importantly, why does everyone love summer break? I mean sleeping in and having a slow leisurely morning is lovely, don't get me wrong, but it just gets downright boring!
I'm not the type of person going out and playing team sports. I barely even go swimming, and I actually like that. I end up being a hermit crab in my air-conditioned home, trying to replicate winter and hiding behind closed curtains and under blankets, with my beloved books and Internet and snacks. But there is only so much reading and browsing the internet I can do without frying my brain. So I end up wandering cluelessly around my house and waiting desperately for a friend to text me so I can leave this hell that is boredom.
So basically, summer kinda sucks. I need the social interaction no matter how much I try to tell myself I'm an extreme introvert, and I miss having something to do almost all day. Of course the work and stress of school almost make me breakdown, but I love being near my people and collaborating with them all while laughing in slow motion as awesome music plays in the background....
Utter perfection.
Did I forget to mention that you get all the best seasons during school? Nobody truly needs summer, right? I would love to just get rid of that and be content with the colder seasons.
All in all, school is greatly needed and definitely appreciated. At least by me, that is.
