"Nickname?"

That was the first thing to be said in response.

Yes, that was from Addie.

"Well duh." Fizzy responded with a smile. "My birth certificate doesn't say 'Fizzy Insert Last Name'."

"Touché." Lilia muttered as she took a sip of her soda. "So, now that you've heard about what's going on, how are you not freaked out about it?"

Fizzy chuckled, her green eyes sparkling as soon as she opened them. "I've always been intrigued by the thought of an apocalypse, even though it's pretty much the end of a civil world."

"You're a pretty strange person." Addie piped up, earning an elbow in the side from El.

Fizzy laughed. "Yeah, I've heard that before. Anyway, I want to help."

She earned a small laugh from Addie. "We can't pull you into this." She told her. "We don't even know what we're getting into. None of us know what's going to happen, so we're not putting you in danger."

"You won't be putting me in danger!" Fizzy responded, slightly jumping in excitement. "I can exchange numbers with all of you. I can look stuff up. I can keep you guys updated on what's going on in the country. Come on! Please! I want to help you guys."

The five looked at each other for a moment, them speaking to each other with their eyes.

"Alright!" Addie said after a few moments before looking over at Fizzy. "I'll get your number then I'll give it to the others." She pulled her phone out. "We'll each text you so you have all of our numbers in your phone."

Fizzy grinned before the process of exchanging numbers began, only taking a couple minutes.

"So we'll be sure to stay in touch with you." Addie said, earning a nod. After a moment, Fizzy went back to her table and the group finished their food.

"So guys." El said as he got up from the seat and pulled out the car keys. "Who's ready to get back onto the road?"
