Lilia let out a small laugh. "How the hell are we going to get to the capital which is, I don't know, just across the country."
"She does have a point there." El nodded lightly, take a sip of coffee after. "It's near impossible to get a plane ticket, let alone four, to the capital that won't be over a hundred dollars."
"So we drive!" Addie exclaimed. "I've got a car we can all fit in. I have a debit and credit card to pay for food and gas and all that. We can take shifts driving. Guys, my dad isn't going to be home for two weeks and my mom isn't going to be back in almost a month."
"She has a point. Look, there's really nothing to lose from this trip." Sophie nodded. "We have the money. We have the transportation. We have the location, or locations if we don't get there in time."
Addie grinned and nodded. "That's the spirit! Everyone go home and get packed. I'll come get you all in about an hour." She said before standing up.
She picked up the last person exactly an hour after everyone left.
"Everyone has everything, right?" Addie asked, glancing to her right to see El, and in the back to see Sophie and Lilia. She thankfully earned nods from all three.
"Are you sure that a government, a big government, is going to listen to a few kids from the other side of the country? I mean, all of us don't appear the most mature." Lilia said, earning a look from El.
"Well when one of those 'kids' is in fact the daughter of one of the Paradigm's best people." Addie responded, glancing in the rear view mirror to see Lilia.
"Maybe you shouldn't mention that." She heard Sophie say beside her. "I mean, your dad could get in a lot of trouble if the Paradigm knew that it was possible for his daughter, or anyone, could get into his tablet that had confidential stuff."
Quiet murmurs of agreement were heard throughout the car.
"Guys, I just realized something." Lilia suddenly thought aloud, her eyebrows furrowed. She earned several 'what's from the others in the car. "We can't do this with just four of us."
"So what do you suggest we do?" El piped up, raising his eyebrow even though Lilia couldn't see it.
"I have a friend that I can get ahold of. She can get ready really quick." Lilia explained. "And I'm sure she'd be open to coming and helping us out."
"And what would be the name of that friend?" Addie asked looking at Lilia through the rear view mirror once more.
"Ate. Her name's Ate."
