"Now!" Addie said as she walked in front of the other four.
Believe it or not, the sheriff of the town they were in was more happy to allow the five to use the town's shooting range.
"Aim forward!"
The sheriff, who they learned to be named Nick, was the least surprised person they encountered. "I expected it to happen one day or another" were his exact words.
"Don't make your arms stiff! Let your elbows bend at a ninety degree angle!"
His partner, Cory, agreed. "I mean, there have been hints to this for the past few years."
"Don't be afraid! Focus, keep your arms from moving. And- Shoot!"
And that's how they were there now. Addie, the youngest of the group, teaching the others how to shoot a handgun.
"Awesome job guys!" She grinned. "Try a few more shots, then we'll move onto shotguns and rifles."
Her smile lightened as the four emptied a magazine each into the targets ahead of them.
As she exchanged the handguns in their hands for shotguns, earning a small laugh from El and Lilia, and a grin from Ate and Sophie.
As expected, they were naturals with the shotguns. However, Ate had a bit more trouble with the rifle.
Needless to say, the group was in and out of the town with enough guns for all five and enough ammunition to last them for the next couple weeks or so.
"Okay, I expected someone here to know how to shoot a gun, but Addie of all people?" Lilia piped up after being in the car for a good twenty minutes.
"I would've expected that from Fizzy before I would expect it from you." El piped up, a smile gracing his face.
"Yeah well, when your mom used to be an officer, what would you expect?" Addie chuckled.
"True. Now, let's shut up and enjoy the music for as long as we can." Ate earned murmurs of agreement.
"Good."
