The next was extremely similar to the last. Every ten hours, the five switched who the driver was.
They stopped for breakfast, as well as lunch only a few hours before now. Everyone was once again asleep. Well, everyone except for Addie, who was currently driving.
She let out a small breath, her concentration on the road. However, that concentration was broken as the sound of 'Car Radio' filling the car, signaling a call. She quickly pressed answer, Fizzy's voice quickly coming out of the speakers.
"Guys!" She said, though it sounded extremely muffled. Either way, it was enough to wake up the rest of the group.
Loud groans of both tiredness and protest were heard throughout the car.
"What is it?" Ate groaned as she rubbed her face.
"Guys? Remember when you said it was three days max before they did they're releasing of the diseased?" Fizzy quickly asked.
"Um yeah? Why do you ask?" Sophie proceeded to lean forward against Addie's seat.
"Yeah, well apparently they went off of schedule." Fizzy told them, earning gasps and mutters from the car, and a rather loud 'what?' from Lilia. "Pull up the news or radio on a phone. There's news of people going around and attacking others. Like biting. Like zombies! That's causing those bit to go off and do the same. They're not eating them and stuff."
"Just.. Biting. Like they were engineered to do that." Addie said, rather slowly.
"Yeah! But it seems the first "infected" are starting to drop dead. Look, I know you guys were talking about going to some second location. Go there. But before you do, stock up on whatever you need." Fizzy told them, rustling of clothes heard. "I'm packing up right now. I told the family and we're planning on heading off."
"Just, be safe." Sophie was heard.
"Yeah. And thanks for the heads up. Concentrate on yourself and your family. If you can, get to a fortified place. Hopefully they're not too strong." El told her, earning a 'mmhmm' from the other end of the call.
"Go. We'll be fine." Addie said, earning 'okay' and 'be safe' from Fizzy, before the call ended.
"Well, we're royally screwed, aren't we?" Lilia said after a moment of silence.
"Well, of to Ebra we go." Ate said. She earned several 'yep's.
"But first-" Addie looked at the others for a moment. "Do any of you know how to shoot a gun?"
A/N: Hey guys! I wanted to do a quick A/N because I expect that at least one person might ask.
"Aren't you going kind of fast?"
The answer is: It may seem so, but I promise I'm not. My idea for the story mainly took place in the apocalyptic world. That's how I wanted it to be ever since Sophie started helping me.
So I hope that helped you get a hang of it. Thank you for the continued support!
Love, Addie
