A/N: First time doing this.
Warning/Possible triggers: mention/very very vague description of a character having a panic attack.Everyone was quiet.
The only sound that was heard besides the occasional sound of Overtakers was sobbing from Ezra, who was being tightly held by Lilia as they walked back to the cars.
Everyone was quiet in grief.
Elliott held Addie, who was violently shaking from shock. It scared the male. She could break down any second and have a panic attack. He was able to keep the girl from breaking down until they got to the vehicles.
Everyone was quiet to allow Ezra to grieve and allow Elliott to try to comfort Addie as she shook and sobbed while slipping into her own world.
The rest of the group, Gally, Ate, Sophie, and Lilia, somehow carried a conversation with just their eyes.
What were they going to do?
They had someone in shock and another in pain.
The four looked up as the heads Dyan's car open, revealing a red-eyed Ezra step out.
Lilia took action in pulling the other to her.
Elliott exited the Kia, the quiet sound of Addie whispering the lyrics of Wait For It from Hamilton to herself in attempt to calm down.
Everyone was quiet for another moment.
"What's the plan?"
Gally's voice slightly cracked as she did her best to hold back tears she'd been holding in for Ezra's sake.
"We have the serum. What do we do with it? Dyan, he.."
Gally stopped speaking as soon as her throat closes trying to hold back sobs.
"We keep going."
Everyone turned to look up at Elliott.
"We lost Dyan, yes. But we can't just stop. Think about how many people are dying because they've been infected for too long. It's horrible what happened, but we can't stay here for long. Dyan would want us to keep going."
Everyone stopped as Ezra let out a son.
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT DYAN WOULD WANT."
Lilia's hold tightened on Ezra as she practically crumbled to the ground.
Elliott looked off to the side before his eyes landed on the almost dark sky.
"Let's get to the closest building and get some sleep."
Everyone was once again quiet.
It took a while for the group to get to the closest building, a bank.
Elliott had to carry a still shaking Addie. She had mostly recovered from her panic attack. That was thanks to Elliott muttering the few songs he memorized from Hamilton due to the younger teen's singing of the songs.
Lilia had to keep a sobbing Ezra from falling.
Gally and Ate were practically glued to each other as they helped Sophie carry anything they needed.
The group silently agreed to close them self into a vault once used to hold the money of their wealthiest costumer.
It didn't take long for everyone to fall asleep.
Lilia fell asleep while leaning against a wall, Ezra's head in her lap.
Gally and Ate slept close to each other, their hands loosely locked after falling asleep.
Addie fell asleep curled up in one of the corners of the vault, Elliott's jacket tightly wrapped around her.
Sophie slept near Addie, knowing she would most likely wake up in the middle of the night from a nightmare.
Elliott fell asleep against the door of the vault. He didn't know why. Maybe he thought it would help keep the door closed.
Everyone slept, waiting for an answer to the question everyone was asking.
What comes next?
