When mother and father had woken up, they panicked at the sight of Aiden. Me and Jason practically had to spend an hour trying to comfort them, before Jason tried to heal Aiden. It was weird, watching him place the tips of his fingers on Aiden's arm, while he kept still, but believe it or not , it worked. Another unexplained mystery.
' It's not safe here' My mother says, directing a careful glance at me. Pretty obvious.
' Mother..... I decided I'm leaving town and.... I'm setting track for the mountains....they're quite remote and they're a safe refuge as well.'
She bites her lip, debating whether to let me go or not.
She knows she's putting every ones lives in danger, but I'm fairly sure she doesn't want to lose me either. She finally comes to a decision, with a heavy sigh.
' I will let you go, but you must promise me one thing.
When it is safe to return, I will call you back somehow, and you must come back.'Awkwardly enough, tears well in my eyes and I hug her.' I promise ' I whisper into her shoulder.
Jason claps his hands.' That was a great show and all but mind if we figure out the details?'My father and Aiden nod in agreement.
I tilt my head in confusion. ' you said the word we, are you actually coming?'
He rolls his eyes. 'unfortunately for you, yes I am, because I swore to protect you......and I mean it this time.'
I smile and pat his shoulder gratefully.' Well, Mr Gray I highly appreciate that.'
Jason glares at me.' Where'd you get my last name from?'
I smirk. ' oh, I may have done a bit of research about you.'
'Stalker' he growls.
Aiden laughs. 'Looks like someone takes a particular interest for someone....'
I lunge at him. ' TAKE THAT BACK!' I scream.
My father finally manages to separate us, although he's got new bruises all over.
' Leave tomorrow night,as the guards will probably have fallen asleep on the job,but in the meantime perhaps you should get some rest, you'll have a lot of work to do tomorrow.' mother says.
I don't resist as I drop onto the rough, yet soft surface of the bed and before I know it, sleep pulls me under.
