The warm water felt soothing on my back as I let myself become cleansed of all the dirt from the previous nights. It felt so good to finally just breathe and not worry about being tracked or being hunted by some traitors. I could stop running. I could be free. I smiled, turning and allowing my face to fall under the falling water, my hair becoming drenched. I reached out, rather blindly might I add, and clutched at what I hoped was the shampoo. I brought it out to me and looked down at it, realizing that I had grabbed the conditioner. I put it down and grabbed the shampoo and proceeded to wash my hair, feeling immediately relieved. I could feel some degree from the lake and ground fall free from my tangles. I couldn't believe how dirty I had gotten. I was taking in the serenity of the moment–basking in it rather–only to jump at three loud knocks. I almost fell thanks to that jump scare.

"Yes?" I asked loudly, my voice thick with attitude. I didn't like being disturbed, though I should be thankful.

"Hannah, I'm coming in." Ren warned. I immediately turned around, the glass on the door may have blurred my features out, however that didn't mean he deserved to see even the outline of my breasts or anything like that.

"Hey–wait!" I tried to stall him but it was too late. He had barged in and was closing the door behind him. "Uh, hello? I'm showering, you know, naked?" I huffed, my voice hitching with disbelief. Couldn't he have waited?

"Well I should hope so. I mean that is the correct way to shower." He scoffed rather smugly. I rolled my eyes and scowled.

"What do you want?"

"What are you going to do from here?"

His question came as a surprise to me, I had only been here for a day and it seemed like he already wanted to get rid of me. I finished conditioning my hair and had washed it out. I turned the water off and opened the door just enough to slide my arm through. On que he handed me a towel.

"What do you mean? I haven't even been here that long and you already want to get rid of me?" I challenged, acting offended.

"No, of course not. Look-" I had just gotten the towel around my body when I heard him open the shower door. I stumbled back and gave him a surprised glance. "Hannah, you know there will always be a place for you here, but I need to know what your plan is. I need to know that when you decide to leave you will be safe."

Okay, maybe I hadn't been completely honest. Ren and I dated a while back but I ended up leaving him because I knew I wasn't good for him. This just made what he said more shocking, especially since I thought he didn't care anymore.

"I don't know.." I admitted quietly. He gave me a hard look, his green eyes staring into me with this intensity that made me tense up. A burning sensation bore it's way up from my throat and into my eyes as tears swelled in my eyes. He must have seen this because his expression softened and he didn't hesitate to pull me into him for a hug. I didn't cry, though I seriously wanted to.

"Come on, let's go watch a movie and binge eat candy and pop corn." I could feel him smiling. I let out a laugh and pushed away from him. I clutched the towel tighter to me, being sure it didn't fall. He chuckled and left the bathroom–actually I pushed him out. I had to get dressed before I even thought about joining him.

He had been staring at the computer screen for hours. She was being difficult to find, and it was thinning his patience out. He had been through many profiles but had not found this Ren Carter that she had called. Who was he? Why had she called him? These questions kept racking his brain and it irritates him. His head pounded.

He needed a break.

He pushed himself up and away from the computer, walking towards the window for some fresh air. The rain had made the air moist and heavy, he would have loved to have been able to hunt in this weather. Scents normally come out better when the air is thick. He felt a chill creeping down his spine as he felt a presence growing around him. He knew who it was.

"Selene." He breathed out, turning around, expecting her to be in her human form. Selene had often come to the Loup Garou in this form to instruct them on their hunt. Normally the Loup Garou hunted as a pack, though she gave separate missions to those who decide to break away from the pack. Unfortunately she gave him this woman to hunt.

As he turned he was shocked to see her in a different form. There she stood, her head low and her ears perked up. White, thick fur covered her body, her tail was bushy and her her snout long. There–in front of him–stood the goddess of the night in her wolf form. She was truly a sight to behold.

"I heard your soul call out for me child. Are you lost?" Her voice was a gentle whisper to him. It made him become instantly relaxed.

"Actually, I have a few questions," he informed her.

"Speak."  The wolf nodded slowly and sat down, her gaze never wavering.

"Why her? She's too much trouble. Can't you give me another mission?"

"Ty, all answers will come in time. She is extremely important to me and though you may not know it yet, she will become very important to you, too." She assured him, though he didn't feel at peace with that answer. It brought up more questions instead of answers. He shook his head and growled unhappily.

"I can't even find her." He admitted. The wolf sneezed and shook her head, a sign she was giggling.

"Peace my child, I shall guide you,"

Ty glanced up at her, his eyes trying his hardest to read her through her mannerisms. "How?" She rarely helped out any of her people when it came down to the Hunt. He wondered what she could possibly do to help him out.

"It's a beautiful night to go hunting, isn't it?" She asked. He cocked his head at her, and closed his eyes, trying to tame the rising anger that rumbled inside of him. What the hell did that have anything to do with his Hunt? He inhaled and opened his eyes, his mouth immediately gaping open. Selene had vanished. He let a deep guttural growl escape from him and he lashed out on the nearest object he could, throwing a corner table across the room and having it smash against the wall. How the hell was he supposed to complete this mission?

Frustration grew coldly within him, turning into anger as he realized that this may be the end of the Hunt for him. How the hell was he supposed to find this bitch? Why had she been so important to the Goddess? She was nothing more than a piece of garbage that not even a street dog would want to–

He stopped in his track, the smell of forest and lavender surrounded him. This is what she had meant.

Of course.

She had made the girls scent stronger. With no hesitation he made his move. She would be his by tomorrow night.
