"You're changing." His voice was soft, more like a question instead of a statement. My brows drew together when my abdomen tightened so hard that it stole my breath. It was then that I heard the balls of my feet breaking, my toes pointing upward. Or at least what used to be my toes. As if that wasn't painful enough, I felt my hips dislocating as my pelvic bone shifted, the edges now protruding from the small of my back. I slammed the back of my head into the trunk of the tree, partially on accident and partially hoping to knock myself out.

"Aghhh!" I screamed, my lungs emptying themselves of all air. I fell to my side, thrashing around uncontrollably, trying to ease any pain I had to no avail.

"Shh, stay calm. You have to go along with the change, Hannah." He instructed. I glowered up at him with all the hate that I could muster, positive with all my straining that I popped a blood vessel or two. I went to scream, but a distorted groan erupted from my mouth.

"What did you do to me?" I panted, my throat raw and almost feral like.

"I didn't do it. Our Goddess did." He spoke softly, but he seemed certain of what he had said. I'm sure the look I gave him was one of a deranged lunatic about to meet his/her end. Goddess? What the fuck was he talking about?! He really had lost his mind if he thought I'd believe that bullshit. No God or Goddess in their right mind would throw this kind of pain on someone, it felt like every bone in my body was shattered. My nose began to grow now, along with my jaw. My hands and arms were beginning to grow gold and brownish red fur with slight patches of silver between each pad. My nails grew into sharp blackened claws, digging into the earth and when I looked up I noticed his eyes widen in shock. The paw–my paws–were huge. And least three times the size of a regular wolf's. The floor seemed to sink away from me and I couldn't help but panic now. I opened my mouth, only no words came out, only whimpers.
W-what?! I felt a tugging in my mind as I watched the half naked man before me shift into a wolf with brown fur, spots of black littered his body. His flame yellow eyes pierced into me.

Be calm. His voice seemed to sooth me, even though it was gruff and raspy, there was a tinge of understanding underlying the coldness. I froze, staring at him. Amazing.
The compliment came out breathy, almost in awe. The wolf–my captor–took a step towards me and I took a step back. He stopped and shifted back. I noticed my legs shaking from the shock and it wasn't long before I felt woozy.

Help...I thought, stumbling. He seemed to understand me, because he reached out to steady me. He gently guided me to the ground and told me to relax. I rested my head on the ground. The smell of the earth was so much more pungent now. I could smell so many different scents, my eyes turning the world into a sepia filter while only reds and blues leaked into it. The world seemed clearer, and as he came closer I noticed that he smelled more amazing than I had thought. His eyes flashed, and he seemed to be struggling against something, what that could be I had no clue. To be honest at the moment I didn't care. I was focused on the sound of wings fluttering and the sound of tiny squirrel claws scraping across the branches of trees ahead. I heard his heart thumping, and the sound of his rapid breaths and the sound of his feet falling cautiously on the ground, shifting the dirt. It seemed peaceful, and I had a murderous desire to run but couldn't find the strength to get up. My vision grew fuzzy, my eyes rolling back as I found myself suddenly in the throws of falling asleep. My body has been through too much trauma. There was no way I could fight sleep anymore.

"It's ok, Hannah. " His voice reached out to me. It made me look at him, my vision focusing for a second before the moment was stolen from me by a crunching of bones and pain. It was happening again, only this time in reverse. Bone dissolving into my bloodstream hurt a hell of a lot more than it growing. I writhed in front of him as my fur receded, my forearms and hand being covered by freshly new and smooth skin. My muscles were contracting, pulsing with each spasm and with each bone replacement. I couldn't tell if I was screaming, all I knew was that darkness began to overtake my senses. My eyes met his as I curled into the fetal position, my lids growing heavy. He moved forward, advancing towards me. And I saw black.
