~~~Readers POV~~~
We closed and locked the door right behind us. After we heard the lock click into place, both Kara and I let out a sigh of relief. I turned to face her, to see she was already sitting on the bed. I couldn't help but smile. Finally! She back!
I walked over to her and took a seat on the bed. I looked down. It still had the blanket that I used earlier stapled over it. I softly placed my hand to the blanket and looked up to Kara. She looked down at the blanket then around the room.
"So this is what his the room looks like. Ha ha. I figured it would be worse than this for some reason." Kara mumbled.
Wait... What?
"What was that?" I asked.
Her head Snapped to the side, facing me. "Oh nothing. Just thinking out loud." She laughed.
"I see." I half smiled. She did always have a habit of doing that...
She looked around the room and her smile fell. She look at me again and then turned her body to face me as well. "(Y/N), I have a question." She said, her voice sounding very serious.
"What is it?" I asked with confusion.
She let out a sigh and looked me dead in the eye. "Please be completely honest..." Her voice sounded strained. "How do you feel towards them?"
"Towards who?"
"Everyone in the Underground... But more specifically... The skeleton brothers." She asked with her sentence slowly turning into a whisper.
"Why are you asking?"
"(Y/N), just answer me." She said slightly agitated which was really rare.
My eyes widened. It so strange for her to act like this. I swallowed a small lump in my throat. "In all honesty, I really like everyone down here. Even Undyne, who's trying to kill us. I understand her reasoning, and I don't blame her at all. With our souls, everyone can break out of here... I placed a hand to my heart. "Everyone down here has been really nice; and I want to help them in anyway I can."
Kara nodded her head.
"And what about the Skelebros?" She asked.
"Well Papyrus is a total sweetheart, so of course I love him. He like a baby brother that I would do anything to protect." I said. An image came into my head, in it was Dans holding Papyrus's scarf before I reloaded the first time. I shook my head, hoping to get the image out of my head.
"Interesting word choice..." She mumbled. "And Sans..?"
"Mmm..." I mumbled. I placed both hands to my chest and I closed my eyes. "Sans has been there for me whenever he could. When I'm around him, I just know I'm safe... That nothing can hurt me... Touch me..." As I spoke an image of him smiling appeared in my head as I continued. "...He's funny, goofy, and caring... I think I- I know I-" I hesitated and rethought my words. "But there is a lot more to him. I don't know what, but I know there is something. Something that keeps telling me that there's more than meets the eye..." I let out a weak chuckle. "To sum it up, I guess I can say that you were right back there.
I love him." I softly said with a smile.
Kara smiled warmly and hugged me. I hugged her back, and when I did, she tightened her grip -As if she was going to lose me.- She stayed like that for a second or so, then she moved her head to where she could talk quietly in my ear.
"(Y/N), please, please promise me that you will protect them... The remaining residents of Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland... Undyne, Papyrus... Sans.... Everyone. Please protect them. No matter the cost...
Chara isn't going to stay unconscious for long. A day at most, maybe... They're gonna be back, and their blood lust will be greater than ever before. When that happens... Please protect everyone... No matter the cost... Please promise you will." She said, her voice desperate.
I tightened my grip around her and a phrase wouldn't leave my head. "No matter the cost..."
"I promise." I sadly said.
I felt her smile. "Thank you." She quietly said. She then pulled away from the hug and looked at me with a mischievous smirk. "And don't worry, I'll try not to tell Sans your secert~" She cooed.
Yup. Kara is definitely back to normal. I felt my face flush as I let out a sigh. "Thanks sis."
Mwhahaha nah that's what you think (Y/N) author-chan is going to- *explosion from somewhere close by*
We suddenly heard another loud explosion underneath us, and then the door downstairs slam shut.
"Do you think the cooking lesson is over?" Kara asked.
"Hopefully. I don't feel like being roasted today." I nervously said.
She let out a strong laugh and tried hiding it by cover her mouth with both hands and once done: "Het, but Sans would really think your hot~" She smirked.
I let out a shaky breath and then let a few chuckles escape my lips. "Funny." I simply said, sarcastically.
"I thought it was." We say in silence for a few seconds afterwards, listening downstairs. Suddenly, Kara spoke again up again, making me jump. "Hey, (Y/N)..." She trailed, sounding like she was contemplating something.
"What is it?"
". . ." She stayed silent, thinking more than likely. She let out a deep breath. "Nevermind... I forgot what I was going to say." She nervously smiled.
I started wide eyes for a second, but then shook my head with a smile.
Suddenly, yet another crash was heard down stairs along with a slamming door. Again.
"What's going on down there?" I asked.
"Dunno." Kara replied.
Second layer, the sound of someone walking down the hallway caught our attention. The footsteps were slow paced, meaning that they were more than likely form Sans. The footsteps soon reached the door and the door handle wiggled.
"Guys, the coast is clear, can you let me in?" The muffled voice which defiantly belonged to Sans said.
"What's the password?" Kara called out.
"How should I know?" He replied.
"Kara, stop teasing him." I scolded, standing up to open the door, I think she's got something up her sleeve.
She stuck her tongue out at me as I made my way over to the door and unlocked it. After I did so, Sans turned the knob and entered the room. I instantly noticed the soot he was wearing, it looked like he finished putting out a fire!
"What happened down there??!!" I asked bit sorta shouted, while trying to clean some soot off with my sleeve.
He backed away, and used his own sleeve to clean the door from his skull.
"Well, everything went quite good to begging with but then it soon back-fired." He smiled.
"Obviously" I sarcastically said.
Suddenly Kara pointed to me as her voice filled the room, leaving both me and Sans standing there in shock:
"HEY SANS! (Y/N) HAS A CRUSH ON YOU!" She yelled with a smile and determination.
I stayed in my place for a second, and slowly turned around to look at her. I could feel that I had my own look of murder on my faveZ when she saw mr she only chuckled and shrugged her shoulders while bringing up her hands.
"I said I'd try not to tell."
A/n: Sorry for interrupting midway but I got bored and thought the atmosphere was to serious for me :3
