Anna's POV
Today's the first day of high school. If starting high school isn't stressful enough, try starting high school in a new city, the hope of new friends, and with two older protective brothers and two new step brothers to be, by your side. Ugh.
I take a quick shower to wake me up at this ungodly hour, brush my teeth and get dressed in cropped grey skinny jeans, and a white crop top with a black leather jacket. Bad ass. I also put a little mascara and lipgloss on. Finally, I blow dry my hair and just leave it down naturally. Done.
I grab my rucksack which I packed up yesterday with all my school essentials and walk downstairs.
Mum's cooking pancakes which smell great, and everyone's already sat down sleepily, except Brett, demolishing them.
"Woah, Anna," Logan blinks.
"What?" I question as I sit in my place next to Louis.
"Bad ass much?" He smiles.
"Yeah, where's the pretty, cute, innocent look gone?" Adam smirks.
I roll my eyes and thank mum as she gives me a plate of pancakes.
"Looking forward to high school?" She asks me.
I gulp, "erm, sure?"
"Boys, make sure you take them to the office and look after Anna," Steve eyes Adam and Logan.
"Yeah yeah," Adam nods. "Don't want any boys looking at my little sister."
Great. How am I ever going to get a boyfriend? Or be normal? I want to just slip under the radar and fit in so bad...
"Yep, agree," Louis says.
"Brett! Come down if you want pancakes!" Mum shouts.
"Right, you guys better get going then," Steve says.
I sigh and everyone starts to get going.
"Anna, no way in hell are you wearing that crop top," Brett walks in and sees me.
"Good morning to you too dear brother," I say sarcastically.
"Ooh I agree, I didn't notice the crop top. Go change Anna. Now," Louis frowns.
"I'm fine, just leave me! Today's stressful enough without you two down my throat!"
"Go and change. Now. Don't let me tell you again Anna," Brett says sternly and points upstairs.
"Brett's got a point," Logan adds. "You'll get unwanted attention from creeps Anna."
I huff and quickly go change, there's no way I'm gonna win this argument. Brett would just change me himself and that would be extremely embarrassing to say the least.
I run back downstairs, with a holister ti shirt on instead.
"Better," Louis and Brett nod approvingly.
I glare back at them and put on some vans while I say goodbye to mum.
"Look after her boys!" Mum shouts as we leave.
