Anna's POV
Over a week has passed and I have slowly improved. I can now walk around with little pain and my wheelchair is being used less and less.
Right now it's Friday evening and I'm going back to school on Monday.
"Fancy going to the mall tomorrow Anna?" Adam walks into the game room.
"It will probably just be us two. You can look at clothes if you want separately as I need to get my man stuff-"
"Man stuff?" I giggle, pretending to be innocent.
Adam gulps and runs straight out of the room.
With a smirk, I get up and walk straight into the kitchen.
"Brett, can I ask you a question?" I walk up to the counter.
"What?" He looks up.
Adam looks uncomfortable - ha!
"What's 'man stuff?' Adam said he had to get it tomorrow?" I innocently ask.
Brett and Louis both throw thunderous glares at Adam.
"Well, you see - um," Louis splutters.
"Older boys need - er - certain stuff for their, um, needs," Brett shudders.
"Surely you know this stuff?" Adam looks very uncomfortable.
"Your faces," I exclaim in laughter. "Of course I knew that stuff!"
-------------
"Anna! Help me! I'm bleeding! My leg!" Daddy hollers in dismal pain.
"Daddy! Hold on!" I cry, "I'm trying to get rid of the rubble!"
I slip and stumble as I try to shovel pathetic amounts of rubble out with the heavy shovel. The metal is scratching and scraping against the black rubble which is submerging daddy.
"Call the ambulance Annie! Fast! PLEASE!" Dad's screaming voice echoes.
Daddy needs help. Now.
"Okay!" I cry.
"Anna, your bleeding love! Be careful!" He gasps.
"What?" I bring my shaking hands up to my face, up to my ear, holding daddy's phone.
I look down as I can feel liquid trickling down my grazed legs - blood. A lot of blood.
"How can I help you?"
The monitor's voice echoes and echoes as I stare, frozen at this canal of blood.
