Anna's POV
"Have a good weekend at college," I hug Brett and Louis goodbye, before they drive to their college (which they will be going to when they graduate high school this summer) for a taster weekend.
"I might miss you I suppose," Louis jokes while I roll my eyes.
"Look after yourself bud," Brett bends down. "Don't do anything stupid and Adam's in charge," he laughs and gives me a bear hug, holding my head to his chest.
"I'll be okay," I stand on my tiptoes and kiss his cheek. "Now go!" I smile.
"Bye Anna!" Louis gives me another bear hug.
They get in Brett's car, and set off for their four hour drive to the college.
Empty. I sigh, I need to stop being selfish. Louis and Brett have always been their for me since the day I was born. It's time for me to be there for them and if that means letting them go, then so be it.
I go back into the house, slamming the door behind me. I run straight up to my room and watch some YouTube, just wanting to be alone.
As lunchtime rolls around, I begin to get peckish so I go downstairs.
"Hey, what do you want for lunch?" Adam looks up from his phone. "And are you okay?"
"I don't mind and I'm fine," I half smile.
"How about I order pizzas?" Adam tries to cheer me up.
"Sure," I nod. "That sounds good. Can I share one though because I can never eat a whole one?"
"Of course."
"Thanks!"
Logan comes in and we decide on our orders.
"Right, I'll go pick 'em up then, anyone coming?"
"I'll come, one of my friends started working there the other day - I wanna see how he's getting on," Logan replies.
"I'll stay," I reply.
"You sure?" Adam raises his eyebrows.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Logan frowns.
"I'm thirteen! Please?" I give them my puppy dog eyes which no one can resist!
"Ugh, okay. We'll lock the front door, and we will be back as soon as possible chicken," Adam says.
"Bye."
They go and I walk into the living room and play on my phone. I FaceTime Summer as she couldn't decide what colour nail varnish to paint her toenails.
'Pizza running a little late. Gonna be an extra twenty to thirty minutes - should be back within the hour. Sorry bud. Adam xx'
I sigh but text back and say that's fine. It's twelve twenty so it looks like I'm not gonna be having my lunch until one! It's not their fault, I'm just unbelievably hungry which is not like me! And a hungry teen makes a grumpy teen.
