Anna's POV
Everything is so peaceful here, all you can hear is the breaking and retreating waves on the shore, and the occasional light hearted conversation.
The temperatures have reached a scorching high today - thirty six degrees! But, at least I'm getting a golden tan - a nice change from my usual pale complexion.
I watch my brothers through my dark shades, at the water's edge, dunking eachother in. I chuckle silently to myself when Adam creeps up behind Louis and jumps on his back, causing him to stumble and fall forward, followed by a few swear words exchanged.
I think I doze off, it's all too warm and cosy...
I should have known.
----------------------------
Something doesn't feel right. I feel cold, I sense goosebumps prickling on my arms and my body feels stuck - I can't move.
Hastily, I open my eyes, and blink, adjusting to the bright rays of the sun.
I try to lift my head, but I can't.
I panic, whipping my sunglasses off and - oh.
I'm buried in sand, head to toe, I can't see any part of my body - I'm completely submerged under the white sand. I hear laughter.
I look around and see my idiotic brothers in hysterics - Logan is rolling around on the sand, practically wetting himself while Adam, Louis and Brett are hunched over, laughing so hard they can barely breathe. Even Mum and Steve are chuckling at their latest antics, too.
I then notice Louis was and is filming me - oh god, this video is gonna haunt me forever.
"GUYS! What the hell?!" I yell, not happy. I try to move around, and wiggle my toes and legs but I can't. "Get me out of here!"
"No-no, th-that was so fun-funny, you sh-should h-have seen your fa-fa-face," Logan starts laughing all over again.
"Oldest trick in the book," Brett's laughs die down a little.
"Well, I'm glad you all find this so amusing, BUT GET ME OUT! It's cold!" I glare at them, feeling utterly helpless as once again, as I try to move and loosen the compacted sand but no such luck.
"Man, I can't believe you slept through!" Louis comes closer to me, smirking.
"Annie, you know there are loads of worms and creepy crawlies in the sand, right?" Adam taunts.
My eyes go wide, "GET ME OUT!" I yell in panic. "NOW!" I scream. "This is not funny!"
"Yes it is."
"Her face when she realised - comedy gold!"
"I reckon if we put this on YouTube we could get like, a million views!"
"Totally, this video is a keeper - one for her sixteenth, her eighteenth-"
I cut Brett off, "I'm not kidding guys - GET ME OUT! I'm so gonna kill you all!" I growl.
"No! Our baby sister is gonna kill us! I'm so scared."
"Guys, put her out of her misery," Steve sides with me, finally!
"Yeah, go on, though it is pretty funny, I gotta admit," Mum chuckles.
"Mum!" I playfully glare at her.
At last the boys start shovelling the sand away, and as soon as I can move my legs, I force myself out and I stand up, shivering from the damp sand. I shake it off and instantly begin to warm up, as the sun rays hit me.
