Chapter 11

Hey guys.. so hope you liked the last chapter, I might be able to update every day but for now let's see  how it goes... on the side there's a picture of Jenny's dress from "prom" .. Enjoyyy

Jenny POV

Friday was finally here! It was about 2 p.m and I was already starting to get ready for the dance since it was 7:30. First I had to go to the salon to get my eyebrow and nails done. All of that was done at about 3:30 and now I had to fix my hair and make up. I got home and took a shower, then my sister started fixing my hair.

"So are you excited for your dance?" Stephanie asked me. 

"Yes! I'm also nervous. I wanna know what Zac is gonna think of my outfit." She laughed and continued curling my long brown hair. I had been texting the whole time in the group chat with all the girls, they were also getting ready and freaking out about their dates. 

When my sister finished my hair, she moved on to make up. I was going for a simple golden look because I didn't want it to be too extravagant. Finally I was able to put on my dress and heels. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. It was perfect. 

My mom of course had to take 100 pictures of me in different poses but at about 7, we were finally on our way to the hotel where the dance was. The girls were also on their way and they got there a bit before me. Zac had also texted me and told me he was on his way. I walked to the lobby and found my best friends.

"You girls look absolutely beautiful!" They all turned towards me and smiled, while walking faster to come hug me. Angela was wearing a beautiful turquoise dress, Diana was wearing a sparkly pink dress and Mary was wearing a red dress. Garret was in a tux with a gray polo under and Kevin was also in a tux with a white shirt and gray tie. They were actually kind of matching and it was adorable. Angela looked behind me and her smiled faltered, I looked at her weirdly and turned around. 

Luke walked in with Lucia at his side, her arm looped in his. He was dressed in an all black tux with a gold-yellow tie and Lucia was wearing a green dress. I gave him a blank look and turned back to the girls. Diana was the first to speak.

"You know they clearly didn't even talk to coordinate because their outfits don't even match!" We all laughed and I said.

"Maybe they just don't care. Come on guys they're starting to let us go in." As I started to walk towards the entrance of the ballroom, someone called my name. I turned around and was found face to face with Zac.

"Hi princess." I smiled at him and gave him a kiss. 

"You look absolutely beautiful Jen."

"Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself." He chuckled and put his hand out for me to take. I grabbed it and we both started walking to the entrance again. There was a photographer there that took our pictures before we got in. So me and Zac took our picture and walked in to find my group of friends since we were all sitting together in a table. I found Angela and Jonathan at one of the tables close to the DJ. 

"Hey Jen you look great." Jonathan said to me, I said thank you and we all sat down. There were like 12 chairs in the table so we had 2 left over chairs. Garret,his date, Kevin, his girlfriend, Diana, her date, Angela, Jonathan, Zac and me were all sitting together. We started talking as we waited for the rest of the ballroom to fill up so we could start dancing. All of a sudden Luke and Lucia were standing in front of our table. 

"Hey guys is it okay if we sit here?" They all looked towards me and Zac who was holding my hand, squeezed it gently. I took a deep breathe and nodded towards him. Zac, understanding what I meant, said "Yeah man, go ahead." Luke's face turned a bit cold but him and Lucia sat down anyway. The conversation started again even though Luke and Lucia weren't really talking. The thing is no one from our group really knew her and since she was here with Luke they expected him to talk to her but really he spent most of the time looking uncomfortable and looking between me and Zac, since he was across from us I could see him perfectly. I didn't understand what his problem was and why he kept looking at me but I decided to stop wasting time thinking about it because today was for me to enjoy myself with Zac.

At about 8, the music started to get louder and the buffet was out. None of us were really hungry so we decided to just go to the dance floor. It was already pretty packed but there was a big gap at the end so we all decided to take up that space. I left my purse with Zac's jacket at the table.

"Talk Dirty" started playing so of course everyone started grinding on each other. Zac grabbed my waist from behind and I swayed my hips. We didn't go into Rated R but we did grind a bit. After about 40 mins of dancing, Angela asked me to go to the bathroom with her. I told Zac in his ear where I was going and walked with Angela. We had to wait in a line for a bit so me and Angela started talking. 

"Jen did you see the way Luke was looking at you while you were dancing with Zac?" I looked at her weirdly.

"What do you mean? I haven't seen him since we left the table, I thought he was in the front with Lucia. " She shook her head and said " No, he's to the right of where we are and he looked like he was about to kill someone when he saw you." I scoffed and said "Well I don't care, I'm here with my boyfriend and I can dance however I want with him."  Finally it was her turn so I waited for her outside. We walked back in together and they were playing a slower long. I found Zac in the crowd.

"Hey babe,let's dance?" He smiled and nodded, while grabbing my hand. We found Garret and stood next to him. I wrapped my hand's around Zac's neck while he put his hands on my waist. I laid my head on his shoulder, listening to him hum along to the song. I sighed contently while he hugged me a bit tighter. This was perfect. I opened my eyes and the first thing I saw was Luke, who was on the side of the dance floor, drinking something. He looked at me with an unreadable expression on his face. I softly shook my head and turned my head toward Zac's neck and took in his smell. His cologne was freaking amazing, damn! 

The song ended  so we pulled away and looked into each others eyes. We both started leaning until our lips met, this was so different from the rest. We usually just pecked lips and that's it but this lead to more. It was sweet and nice. Like exploring each others mouths and being happy with the results. After a few minutes, we pulled away slowly and put our foreheads together. He smiled at me and said "That was perfect." I giggled and said "It was more than that." 

As time passed by, our group of friends and us started dancing together. We would all get in a group and just dance by each other. Some songs I danced with Zac and the others it was all of us in a group. Soon the DJ started warning us that it was almost time to go home. We all groaned and started calling our parents to pick us up. My mom texted me about 30 mins later that she was outside, I said bye to my friends and kissed Zac goodbye. 

As I was walking out the ballroom and into the lobby, someone pulled me back. I was ready to curse at whoever pulled me when I saw it was Luke. To say I was surprised wouldn't even put into perspective. I pulled my arm away from him and said "What do you want?" He smiled sadly and said "You looked gorgeous today Jen." 

"Thanks, I have to go though." He nodded and said " So much for being friends right?" I sighed and said "Luke, I really like Zac and he makes me happy. You have a girlfriend stick to that and let's just leave this. We were meant to be friends, if you can't handle that then let's just stay out of each others way."

"Don't worry, I won't bother you again." He waved, turned around and walked away. I sighed again and walked towards where my mom was. She asked how the dance went and I said I had a lot of fun. We got home and I took off my make up, dress and heels. I washed my face and got into bed. 

I felt something shift in me but I wasn't sure what it was. I stared at the ceiling for a few minutes when my phone vibrated.

I smiled and realized that I was finally happy and I wouldn't let that go so easily.
