Chapter 13

Jenny POV

Class started a week ago and the first week went by pretty smoothly. Angela and Jonathan were still together, Diana and Orlando broke up because Orlando was moving to Canada and they didn't want to go through a long distance thing. I heard from Angela that Luke and Kiara had broken up in June because she was leaving the school and didn't feel the same towards him anymore. I had about 4 classes with him and both of our lunches. 

Zac and I were great, after our anniversary date we were inseparable. We basically had the same classes this year except I took Italian as an elective and he took P.E. We were graduating in 11 months so we were really looking forward to this year. Me and Zac still haven't really talked about college and all that but we were living day by day and were really happy with how things were. 

I just walked into school, heading for our lockers since we had them now that we were Seniors. My parents got me a car the weekend right before school started, it was a red Ford Focus,I absolutely adored it. As I was talking out my books for AP English Lit, I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist, I immediately knew who it was so I leaned into them.

"Hey princess." Zac whispered in my ear, I smiled and turned around to kiss him. "Hey, are we gonna go out for lunch today?" He nodded and said "yeah, where do you wanna go?" Our school let us go out when it was lunchtime if we were seniors, so Zac and I would go out some days or stay depending if we had homework to finish or something. "How about we go to Panera at sunset?" He nodded and pecked my lips, I got my bag and closed my locker. He grabbed my hand and we starting walking to class because the teacher wasn't there yet we stayed outside, talking. 

"You know that Luke just walked in and he keeps looking over here. Have you talked to him?" Zac said to me. I shook my head while playing with his fingers, "No I haven't, I have classes with him but if I'm not wrong he's the one that stopped talking to me so I don't see why I have to go to him first. I thought you didn't like him, why do you want me to talk to him?" He shrugged and kissed my hand,"I don't know you guys were still friends at one point, I don't want you to stop because of me." I kissed his cheek and said "Yeah we were friends but he decided to be a dick about everything,especially you and me which I still don't understand but whatever." He gave me a slight look of disbelief and said "Are you serious Jen? He was a dick about you being with me because he likes you! Why else?" I looked at him like he had grown another head," Zac are you crazy? Luke doesn't like me. Why would you even think that?" 

"Because princess, he looks at me the same way I use to look at him when you guys were together." I shook my head again,"Well I don't care, I'm with you. Why are we even wasting time talking about him?" 

"Because I still think you guys should fix whatever happened between you two." I sighed and said "Ok fine, if you want me to then I will talk to him,but only for you." He smiled and kissed me. I laughed and said "Shit if that's your way of thanking me then I'll do whatever else you want me to." He laughed again and shook his head. In that moment, the teacher walked in so we went inside the class and took our seats which we were right next to each other.

When it was lunch time, me and Zac walked out of guitar class together to his car. It was about a 5 minute drive to Panera, so we got off the car and ordered, then took our seats outside. Zac and I started talking about our classes and what we liked and stuff. Then it was time to go back to school, out last class of the day was the one we didn't have together but I did have it with Luke so Zac told me to talk to him there since my Italian teacher wasn't here today. Zac knew that he didn't need to worry about me and talking without him there because he knew that between me and Luke there was nothing left. If he did like me , well that sucked for him because I wasn't planning on leaving Zac. 

So when we got back to school, we kissed and both went our separate ways to class. When I got there, our classroom was open so I walked in and the only person there was Luke. I took a deep breathe and sat next him in the back. He looked up from his phone and looked at me surprised. I smiled and said" Hey, how are you?" He didn't say anything for a few seconds until he blinked and I guess that took him out of his daze cause he cleared his throat and said "Hey, I'm good. How about you?" 

"I'm pretty good. Listen I actually wanted to talk to you." His eyes widened a bit and he put his phone away. He ran his hand through his hair and turned towards me,"Yeah sure, what's up?"

"Well look, you stopped talking to me which I guess I get but I think we're both mature enough now to be friends and forget the past. Don't you think?" He looked at me surprised again, I laughed a bit at his expression and waited for him to answer.

"Yeah , you're right. I'm sorry about that by the way. I guess I just thought it was better that way for both of us." I nodded and said "Yeah actually I think you were right, maybe that time apart helped us." 

"Yeah, so how are you and Zac? I know you guys are still together since I see you a lot in my classes and stuff.": I laughed and said" We're really good,actually. About to make 5 months in like 2 weeks. I'm really happy with him, he's a perfect boyfriend." He flinched a bit but tried to cover it, I ignored it not thinking it had anything to do with what I just said.

"I'm really happy for you Jen, you deserve happiness. " I smiled and said "Yeah, thank you. How about you any special girls?" He gave a slight laugh and said "Nah, I'm single for now." 

"Well hey I'm sure your perfect girl will  come around soon." He nodded while looking at me with an intense stare. I laughed and we spent the rest of the class catching up.  When the bell rang, I gave him a hug and walked to my locker, where me and Zac usually met up after school. I started putting my books away, and leaned against my locker waiting for Zac. About 5 minutes, he came running towards me with his soccer jersey , all sweaty. I laughed at how he looked and backed away a bit when he tried to hug me. "Aw come on ,love. Give me a hug." I shook my head, laughing and said "Nope, I'll give you a hug and a kiss when you have taken a shower." He pouted so I gave him a small peck. He then grinned and pulled me towards the parking lot. 

"I gotta go home, I'll call you tonight." I nodded, he kissed me and we both got in our cars since they were parked next to each other.
