You say you are my teddy bear.
Are you?
Are you really?
You claim to be my teddy bear,
But I need proof.
If you were my teddy bear,
You would know all my wishes and dreams.
If you were my teddy bear,
You would let me cry on your shoulder whenever I wanted.
If you were my teddy bear,
You listen to me for as long as I want to.
If you were my teddy bear,
I would squeeze you tight,
Like I will never let you go.
If you were my teddy bear,
I would tuck you in each night to know that you are safe and sound.
If you were my teddy bear,
You would wait and wait and wait until I came back for you...even if it is forever.
If you were my teddy bear, you would be my one true friend.
The one I could count on.
The one I could feel comfortable with.
The one I could call "mine."
If you still say you are my teddy bear after this,
Well, you are because no one else would own up to it.
However, you have to do some more waiting.
