I make up all these different scenes of my dream date.
I guess it is because I have never been on a real date.
I think of the guy opening the door out for me like the perfect gentleman.
He makes me feel like a lady that I did no myself as.
He will have us sit at the nicest table at the fanciest restaurant.
He will laugh at all my jokes, like I am the most humourest person there.
I will have this tingling feeling in my hands when our hands brush ever-so-slightly.
My stomach will churn like a mixer and my heart will flutter like a monarch butterfly.
He and I will be having the greatest time of our lives.
I dream of times like those.
Oh, how I dream.
Later, he will pay for our dinner, but I will try to take out my wallet.
He will insist that he will pay for the whole thing.
The perfect gentleman.
I will blush furiously as he guides me with his big, strong hand on my back.
I will wonder, at my porch, if he will kiss me or not.
The way he gazes down at my eyes.
The way he stares at my lips when there is a lingering silence.
The way his hands plants themselves on my hips to move me closer to him.
It all feels so surreal,
But it is only a daydream.
I must be crazy for thinking like my entire life is like a fairy tale,
Just waiting to be written.
But stories are what us get through life.
It helps us explore what is out,
To believe in fate, in destiny, in love.
It helps us find our cheesy side because everyone has one somewhere.
