"Where's Lara?" Mark asks as I go near the group of three other people who also made the cut during the audition. The agent who called us on the phone last time is also with them.

"Hi," I wave at them, avoiding answering Mark's question. He still doesn't know that she's not coming. Lara thinks that it would be for the best. She said he'd back out, too, if he knew she wasn't going to Korea with us.

"Cee!" He grabs my arm.

"Don't call me that." I tell him. Only Lara calls me that. I didn't give him the right to call me any other name than Cristina.

He sighs and shakes his head, annoyed. "Ok then, CRISTINA. Where is she? She's late. We need to be boarding in a few minutes."

"She said she'd just follow." I tell him what Lara told me to. "There are some things she needs to finish in school."

"Huh? Why didn't she tell me?"

"I don't know. Maybe because you're just a boyfriend?" I chuckle, raising an eyebrow at him.

Ignoring my mockery, he takes out his phone and starts dialing. I'm sure he won't be able to reach her. She's turned off her phone earlier. He looks really worried though as I watch him pace the floor, redialing, and cursing at the same time.

"Let's go?" The agent says.

I quickly hold on to my carry on, following the man leading the group. But, I notice Mark still standing there, still in his phone, trying to make that call that won't be answered for now. For the first time, I feel for him. We share the same emotions right now. The person whom we want to go to this journey with is not gonna show up. I feel like crying again, thinking of my best friend who's going to undergo therapy in a few days, and I'm not there to take care of her.

As much as I want to stay, I can't. I promised her I'd do this with or without her. I also promised her I'd make sure her boyfriend would, too. So, even if I have to lie and keep a straight face, I grab his backpack and pull him. "We're boarding Twain!"

"Hey!" Some people look our way when he yells.

I keep pulling him, trying to keep up with the guys ahead of us. "C'mon, slow poke."

"Fuck, Cee."

"I said don't call me that." I shout, still yanking.

"Stop it! I'm coming, I'm coming." He says, annoyed. I can see why, cause he's literally walking backwards, almost stumbling at the way I'm pulling his bag. "Let go, rascal!"

I didn't allow him to call me that either. Lara calls me that all the time when I play a prank on her - which is like almost every time we meet.

"You two a couple?" One of the trainees we're with asks. I don't know her name though.

I laugh. "My best friend's boy friend." I tell her, letting go of Mark as he seems to be losing it already with all the pulling.

She starts laughing, too when she sees Mark grunting, mumbling who-knows-what under his breath as he straightens his clothes and fixes his bag behind him. I think I heard him say something like "Just my luck knowing a brat like her. Annoying." Or maybe not.

"By the way, I'm Cristina." I tell her, beaming.

"Angie," she says, taking my hand, giving it a quick and gentle shake.

Mark's just being quiet, going to his seat on the plane. He's looking down at something on his hand when I pass him to take my seat as well, just in front of his, by the window. Luckily, Angie sits beside me, I won't get bored for the almost thirteen hours flight. Unfortunately for the boy behind me, it seems he'd be alone the rest of the flight.
