8 - I Guess He's Hurting As Much As I Am

It's been two weeks since I last talked to Lara. She hasn't replied to any of my messages nor answered my calls. I've received my new phone Juho got for me by my dad's request. I also got new sets of cards which I used to send Trey some funds for her trip to Michigan. But, she too, doesn't have any news yet. My dad only knows the address of the hospital where the specialist is, but we don't have any idea where she lives. I heard Uncle Ed hasn't been in LA for weeks now.

Our schedule has become busier just this week. They added more advanced dance lessons and vocals with some instruments. Since I can play the guitar and the piano, I am able to advance to some other level together with Youngjae, JB, Junior and Mina. I'm gonna miss Mrs. Choi though. 

Mark? Well, he's still being an ass. But, he kinda changed. It's like he's become more cheerful nowadays. My teases about Lara doesn't seem to bother him that much anymore. Could he have already let her go? I can't let that happen, can I? 

There are times I catch him flirting with Angie and some other artists in the company. 

"Twain." I stop him once, before he enters his room. "What are you doing?" 

"What?" He raises an eyebrow, fixing his bag hanging on his shoulder. He still seems to be pissed whenever he sees me. I think that's a given. After what I had told him last time about being a virgin...haha. 

"Don't you think I'd be telling Lara all what you've been doing lately?" I say with an angry voice. 

He shrugs his shoulders, like it's not a big deal. "What did I do?"

"Angie? You're fuckin' flirting with every girl that goes near you."

He smirks and leans on the door frame, seeming amused at my outburst. "Why? Are you jealous because I give them more attention than you?"

"What?? The fuck is wrong with you, Mark? You have a girlfriend for Christ's sake." At this point, I'm tempted to tell him everything - that Lara is sick, that she didn't tell him because she wanted him to chase his dream, that the girl he left back in the States is enduring a lot just so she could be with him soon. 

"Oh." He hits his forehead with his palm. "Do I? Who? That girl who doesn't even bother to call me? That girl who I don't even know if she's fine or not? That girl who just left me hanging at the airport?" He's yelling now. Angie and Grace come out of the room, watching us with wide eyes. "Are we talking about the same girl here, Cris?"

"Yes, Mark. That same girl. And she has a pretty damn good reason why she did all that." 

"Of course you'd say that. You're her BESTFRIEND! How couldn't you know? I'm just a dumb boyfriend who doesn't even have the right to hear from her, right?" 

"Mark." I lower my voice. I can see how hurt he is right now. He's never voiced out his frustrations on her like this. My mocking words in the past has made it even worse. I feel sorry for my actions. I feel sorry for him and for Lara. "She'll tell you soon."

"When? Isn't it a month late for that?" He rolls his eyes and gets in his room, slamming the door on my face. 

I don't really know how to fix this. I know that part of it is my fault. Because I pushed him too hard just to get back at him, I feel guilty. I've said it in his face many times that he's not important to her, that being her boyfriend isn't that big of a deal. 

Ok. Maybe, I've caused this rebellious act he's doing. I feel so bad. I don't know what Lara would say after she learned the truth that her boyfriend is fooling around because of me. 

"You." I turn my anger at Angie. I point at her as I get in the room, making her walk backwards, scared at my facial expression. "If I ever fuckin' see you flirting around Mark again, I'm gonna cut that head of yours. Do you get me?" I shout.
