Be Myself *

I want to be me,

You want me to be perfect,

I want to be a tomboy,

But you want me to be girly,

Who cares if I'm different?

"I do!",

Well, I don't,

I hate fake people,

Or people who don't show their true selves,

But I'll show mine,

So I can be myself,

I don't care if you're my parent,

You don't control the real me,

Ever other parent accepts their children,

But it's not you,

It's me,

You constantly tell me,

I'm a girl,

And need to be girly,

Get it threw your skull,

I don't care,

I can be myself,

I'm not your puppet,

I'm just a teenage girl.
