You sit and stare,

As you realize the truth,

I'm not who I appear to be,

And neither are you,

I am dark,

You are bright,

Yet, we are the opposite on the outside,

You appear unwelcoming,

I appear approachable,

You don't really smile,

But, I do,

On your emotionless face,

You share nothing to others, but a glare,

On my happy face,

I share a bright smile,

We are opposites,

We are fakers,

I was a lonely child who was cast aside and left in my sister's shadow,

You were a happy child who seemed deranged,

I was once happy,

You were always happy,

I was broken,

You were a doll,

Why did we fake?

That, you shall never understand.
