I Knew

The very first day I saw you
Was the day I honestly didn't care

When I saw your handsome face
Almost black hair
Dark Brown eyes

I knew I couldn't have you
Even if you wanted me
Which I knew you wouldn't

So I ignored you
But that failed

It was so hard to focus at school with you staring me down
It was so hard to think when every thought lead to you
It was so hard to ignore the feelings I had for you

It was just so hard
That I wanted to cry

Why? Why me out of everyone else?
What's so special about me?
I just didn't get it

But then I found myself doing what you did
And I would make eye contact with you
And even talk to you

I was getting stronger

But she had to ruin it
Actually more like shes

Everytime you were single
The next day you were token once again

I had a crush on a player

But when you got your 3rd girlfriend
Everything cut off

The staring; gone
The glancing; gone
Nothing was left
Accept my broken heart

You hurt me
But I still went by the saying 'The one's that hurt you the most, care the most'

And I could see you cared for me
Even if we weren't that close

We're now friends
But we both know we both want more than that.
