Chapter 4:
After we said our goodbyes, Luke and I left for the first village we would be staying in.
It was like we were back in medieval ages so there weren't any cellphones nor cars so we had to travel on horses.
Thank goodness the saddle was also enchanted because now we actually knew how to ride a horse.
The name of my horse was Silver, named after her silvery fur. She was light grey with purple specks, she also had some black spots on her back and head. Her legs were long and slender, her body was muscled but also slender. She was one of the fastest horses they had and since we had to get to get to the mountain quickly, they gave me her to ride on.
Luke's horse was called Storm. He had dark brown fur with dark blue glowing specks, it was almost shining with how clean it was. His body was built the same way as Silver's body but he had a little more muscles than Silver.
We were on our way to the first village we'd be staying in, we were on a path in a meadow. The path led into a forest with huge trees, normal trees, except for the size. They were like normal trees but these were... magnified, it seemed.
We suddenly heard yelling and saw five men running from the forest up ahead. They were waving with their arms and yelling for us to run and turn back. The horses started acting nervous, standing still, softly whinnying and moving their ears around.
Luke and I looked at eachother as if asking if we'd actually turn back, he shook his head and I nodded in understanding. We stood still until we saw the thing the men were running from, coming out of the forest. A minotaur, dark brown skin, incredible muscles shown and hornes on its head.
It roared in anger and shook his head around dangerously. His eyes locked in on us, our horses whinnied, threw their front legs in the air and stood on their hind legs. They turned around and started running, but we forced our horses back and quickly dismounted them. Of course they ran off.
Great start of our journey right? Being chased by a human-bull hybrid thing and losing our horses. Amazing. Just wonderful.
The minotaur looked at us with bloodlust in its eyes and charged at us, head first, hornes in front. Luke ran behind a tree and I was about to do the same thing when I got an idea.
Luke yelled at me to run but I stood right in front of the minotaur. Its eyes were gleaming with joy when he saw me standing there, he came closer... closer... just a little more...
His hornes were about five feet away from me when I jumped aside, grabbed his hornes and jumped again, to land on the minotaurs back.
The minotaur stopped running and tried to grab me from his back, I took my dagger out of my boot and stabbed him in the shoulder. The animal roared out in pain and rage, he tried to grab me again but missed me. I yanked my dagger from his shoulder and put it back in my boot.
It was too small to reach the minotaur's heart. I was reaching for one of my dual swords when the minotaurs hand found my leg and pulled me off his back. I screamed when he pulled me away.
Great now I'm dangling upside down from a huge bull hybrid's hand.
The minotaur looked at me and I saw something on his face that looked like a smile but it looked more like he was just showing off his teeth.
"Hey big guy!" I turned my head around to see Luke had come out of his hiding place and was holding his greatsword out in front of him. His wings were spread, ready for take off.
The minotaur's attention was shifted towards him and let go of me. I fell on the ground and yelped out of shock and the pain that surged through my shoulder and into my arm.
