Chapter 18:

I'm soaring through the air with my wings widely spread, the sun on my right, clouds as far as I can see and above me nothing but a wide blue sky.

I spread my wings even further and start flying even faster. I yell out in pure joy and freedom. I dive down towards the cloud and fly straight through them. My wings start folding up slowly and I'm just freefalling down to the earth.

I can see the ground quickly approaching and spread my wings again when I reach the tops of the trees. I spread my arms and let my hands touch the tree tops.

The forest suddenly stops and I see an opening to a cave. I fly in carelessly and find myself in Undercave. All kinds of animals are walking around. I'm in the same spot I was in when I first came to Undercave.

The huge waterfall with glowing blue water on my left. I land near the water, kneel down and look into it. I see beautiful reefs, glowing green, blue, pink and purple. Fish of all sizes all different colors.

I stand back up from my kneeling position and walk around, everything is exactly as I remembered it. I look up and see the light passing through the ceiling like a heart beat.

I search for the mammoths and there they are, the pass over the path again, the same glowing spots on their backs. A couple of foxes pass over the road and I follow them with my eyes into the bushes.

A purple and pink blur flies past me and I whip my head around to see it. It's a beautiful large hawk. I flap out my wings and I'm immediately in the air, I fly after the hawk.

We soar through the sky together, at some point the hawk's wing lightly touches mine and I turn my head to look at it. The hawk had suddenly turned into Luke who's grinning cheekily at me.

He dives down and I follow quickly, we were chasing after eachother for quite a while until he disappeares and I'm left alone.

The glowing plants and animals slowly stop glowing until everything around me is dark.

Left alone in a cold dark cave.

A small ray of light can be seen on the ground. It moves towards me and I take a step towards it. The light suddenly starts pulsing when it's just a small bit away from me. I can now see the whole shape of the thing that's glowing.

It's a long, slender body, no arms or legs and its head was just barely bigger than its body. A snake. The blue and green glowing starts pulsing even more and I'm about to take a step back when its eyes light up with a sickening yellow color. I'm too late.

It takes a leap towards me with its mouth wide open and teeth visible.

I sit straight up, I'm panting but I don't really care. What was up with that dream. I felt so free and happy and it suddenly turns into that. What have I even experienced yesterday that would make me dream that.

It has been proven that your dreams are outcomes of your brain processing everything that has happened that day. You usually only remember your dreams when you are woken up in the middle of your REM-sleep. 

I take in my surroundings, Sam is peacefully sleeping and so is the rest of the group. I just can't see Zero and Lucien anywhere. I get out of my sleeping bag and put on some more clothes than I'm wearing right now. I actually haven't been outside of this cave yet, so I start walking towards the exit of the cave.

I walk towards the opening and turn the corner. I immediately stop walking because the view takes my breath away. I'm standing on a platform which is just a couple of meters higher than the actual ground, but high enough to look over the tree tops.
