Chapter 24:

I slowly wake up and slightly open my eyes to the light falling through the windows. I slowly scoot to the bedside but there's a weight on my waist that keeps me in place. I look over my shoulder to see Lucien's sleeping face frowning slightly.

I crack a smile at his peaceful features. I turn around in his arms and lay my head back down on my pillow, but he shifts a little because of my movement and pulls me impossibly closer to him.

My eyes widen and I have to bite my lip to keep myself from yelling at him to let me go and awake him from his peaceful slumber. My face is just a few inches away from his and I can feel his warm breath on my cheeks.

He frowns again and stirs a bit in his sleeps, pulling me closer again. Is he having a nightmare? I suddenly feel something pressing my thighs a little and this time I can't stop myself from yelping. He wakes up and quickly scoot away from him.

"Why do you have a hard-on in your sleep?!" I whisper shout at him and Lucien blinks a couple of times in confusion before his eyes widen slightly and his cheeks tinge pink. "Oh shit, I'm so sorry Amy." He quickly says and stands up, walking out of the door.

I lay back down and sigh. That was so weird. A small smile plays around my lips and it gets bigger and bigger until I can't help myself from laughing out loud. The doorhandle clicks and I turn around in bed and Zero appears in the doorway.

"Was that a yelp out of fright or pleasure, just now?" He asks me with a huge grin on his face and I throw a pillow at him. "Fright, definitely fright." I deadpan, but the grin on his face grows even more if that's physically possible. "You mean, you got scared by the size of his di-" He gets cut off by another pillow, this time directed at his face. "GO!!" I shout and he scurries off.

"It started off as such a peaceful mornig as well..." I say quietly to myself and fall back on the bed. "Oh well, we have to finish our journey to Undercave mountain anyways." I shrug and sit back up to see a confused Luke standing at the door.

His hair is messy and his eyes look like they're still half asleep. "Who're you talking to?" He asks right before yawning. "Uhm..." My face colors red as I look around the room. "You?" I ask him and myself, he smiles slightly and chuckles. "Yeah, sure, you were talking to me."

He slowly walks over to the bed and lays down next to me. "Sorry I fell asleep in your bed." He says and I chuckle. "Don't worry, you looked really cute." I say and smile softly at him. "You can't hurt a man's ego more than calling him cute." He laughs and I chuckle along.

"Well I was taught not to lie, so I'm not lying when I say that you looked absolutely adorable." I say with an innocent smile. "You're pretty cute yourself." He says and tucks a stray hair behind my ear, letting his hand rest on my cheek.

"I told you, no drama." I whisper weakly, my eyes flitting to his lips and back up. "It's only as dramatic as you make it." He whisper back, his eyes being unable to decide where to look. He leans in closer and I feel the urge to do the same.

Our lips are nearly touching when the door opens and I push Luke away, making him fall off the bed. I sit up quickly to see Lucien enter the room with a small scowl on his face. "Getting frisky here, are we?" He asks with one eyebrow raised.

I quickly shake my head in denial as Luke's head pops up from the bedside. "Tch," He clicks his tongue, "Kill joy." He mutters and stands up, walking to the door to leave the room. He gets stopped by a hand on his shoulder. He turns his head to glare at Lucien and Lucien just smiles back innocently. "We're leaving soon, don't forget to pack your things." He says and removes his hand from Luke's shoulder.
