Chapter 13:
I woke up in the morning to Sam licking my face. "Aah, Sam no, stop licking me!" I grumble and push her away from me without opening my eyes but she comes back and continues licking my face. I groan and sit up, opening my eyes and pushing the covers off me. "Fiiiiiiine, I'll take you for a walk." I stand up and quickly get dressed before taking out her leash (still just a rope) and tie it around her neck.
I walk into the hallway and spot Zero and Zilanna chatting against a wall. I'm about to greet them when she slaps him. My eyes widen and I don't really know what to do so I just watch them. I can hear Zero say: "Wow even your slap is sexy." I facepalm and groan softly.
Zero is wearing part of his hair in a small ponytail to keep it out of his face and is leaning against the wall with one hand. I have to admit his jawline is pretty darn amazing and every girl knows what a jawline means to a girl. His skin looks almost olive colored but just a little lighter. His blue eyes are fixated on Zilanna and he's smiling with the right side of his mouth higher than the left.
Zilanna is leaning with her back against the wall and her arms crossed. She looks a little pissed off but I can see amusement playing in her eyes. Her long blond hair is braided and even then, it still almost reaches her butt. I touch my own short, brown hair and frown a little. She's still wearing the tight outfit she wore before which makes her boobs almost look like they're about to burst. Her eyes are a dark blue color and her skin has a light teint.
Zero laughs at something she said and she shakes her head. I walk down the stairs without greeting them and I walk outside with Sam.
The air has a cold breeze and bites my exposed skin. I put my collar up, to reduce the cold wind that blows in my neck, and try to hide my face a little more. We're going to be leaving today to the next town. It's called Teru and it's supposed to be a town which is surpressed by its lord. I feel bad for the people who live in it, I probably wouldn't want to live there.
When I return from my walk with Sam I can see Luke standing near the door, saddling Storm. I call out his name and jog over to him. He turns around and smiles at me, "It's so cold out, right now." I say and he nods. "Wanna warm up?" He says while opening his arms and taking a few steps closer to me.
I laugh uncomfortably, thinking about what happened between Gure and I, and shake my head. "No I'm going to go inside and grab my things." He pouts playfully and I laugh as I walk into the inn.
---
We grabbed everything we needed and now we're on our horses, riding to the next village. We're riding on a path leading to the forest. I go up front to, kind of, scout ahead and let Sam walk ahead of me to sniff out possible danger. Great dog, I got here.
After a while of riding, I can hear Sam barking and see her running out of the forest. I can see a flash of red in front of me and a pair of bright, green eyes before everything goes black.
---
I wake up and see a man leaning against a tree, sharpening his knife. I'm sitting against a tree and Sam is laying at my feet, while Silver is standing about 12 feet away, tied to a tree. I stand up and look at the man.
He has a cowl on and a red bandana covering his mouth and nose. The only thing you can slighty see about him are his bright green eyes. He has broad shoulders and masculine arms. He's wearing nothing on his upper body so you can clearly see his abs. I swallow and continue to stare at him.
I can see a few loose strands of bright red hair falling over his face. His eyes are averted to me, he puts his knife away and walks over to me. He narrows his eyes in on me and I take a step back because of his intense gaze. "W-who are you?" I ask him, stuttering while doing so and taking another step back.
