Chapter 7:

"Okay, I have a plan. But you will need to put up with the count for a little longer." Gure said, "We can only break you out at night and since it's still early in the morning, we'll have to wait until tonight."

I smiled mischieviously at him, "You know, something is supposed to happen in the morning." I said, he looked confused so I continued. "It's this ritual called breakfast and I'm starving. People usually need food to survive, and water too."

Gure grinned at me and walked away to return some time later, with some bread and a cup of water in his hands. "Sorry, couldn't do any better than this, even if you are supposed to marry the dude, you're still his prisoner." I nodded and gave him a grateful smile as he gave it to me.

I gulped down the water and continued with the bread. Gure just looked at me, clearly amused, as he sat there, across from me.

The door of my cage was pretty much open all the time now because there was no need to close it, since I was chained to a wall. Duhh.

"What?" I asked with my mouth full so it sounded more like a 'whaf', Gure laughed out loud. "Oh nothing just the way you completely disregard all manners is kinda funny to watch."

I swallowed my food and looked at him. "I'm in a dungeon, in my underwear, chained to a wall and haven't eaten in a very long time, I'm allowed to throw those manners out the window." I said with the most serious expression I could have, before bursting out laughing at his shocked face.

"Oww, laughing hurts." I said while I was still laughing at him, my stomach still hurt from the count's punches. Gure quickly walked over to me with a worried expression.

He sat down next to me and I looked him in his eyes. My hand touched his cheek and rested there, "Your eyes are really pretty." I said without thinking. He took in a sharp, short breath.

I glanced at his lips and looked back into his eyes. His hands cupped my cheek and mine moved to his neck. The chains rattled a little as I did. He leaned in, as did I.

The door to the dungeon opened. We froze and I pretty much flew to the other side of the cage. Gure quickly stood up and stepped back outside of the cage.

We almost kissed! What is going on with me?!

Footsteps walked over to the cage and by the way he walked, I knew it was the count. I pushed myself against the back wall in hopes I would become the wall itself.

The count came into view and he laughed at the sight of me. "Aww look at her, so strong at first and now she's as scared as a little bunny. Poor bunny. How about you just greet your future husband?"

I gritted my teeth but did as he said. I slowly stood up, leaning against the wall so I wouldn't fall over. I threw him a glare, "Ah there she is, the wild mustang comes out once again. You're no bunny, you're more like a wild horse who just needs to be tamed. With a rough hand it seems." He said.

He took a step closer to me, taking my chin in his hand again. He smirked and whispered: "It's easy, obedience will be rewarded, disobedience will be punished. Simple as that."

I pulled my head away and glared at him as a sign of protest. I wasn't gonna listen to him. He was crazy for thinking I would. I wasn't a wild horse, I was a lioness.

The count's smile widened as a sadistic glint appeared in his eyes. "Now that's something called disobedience. Which calls for punishment." He said right before my cheek stinged with pain again, I hissed in pain and glared at him again.

I saw Gure in the background trying to contain his anger towards the count.

"How could I marry a man whose name I don't even know?" I asked, still glaring at him. "Jaku, my name is Jaku." He said, expression never changing. "But how could I do the same?" He asked me with the same disgusting, amused grin on his face.
