Lana picked up the phone. Then her heart froze after she recognized whose voice talked on the other end of the Line.

"Hey Lizzy. I'm so glad it was you who picked up the phone." Jim said with his deep and raspy Voice. Lana stood speechless with a strong ache in her heart.

"I've never met someone as naive as you, Lizzy.
You really thought you would get me into prison by sending some stupid cops to my house? That's not the way to treat your man. oh and don't bother hanging up. For your sake, you better hear me out.

"How the fuck did you get this number?!" Lana said with the fear spilling out of her words.

"See, it's rather easy to slip a few hundreds on the receptionist at the studio where you've been working. I had to, after an officer came yet again to my house to tell me I had been accused of harassing you and that I would have to attend court to testify.
It's funny how you think you got the upper hand, when in fact I've been above you since you left. You really think I don't know who Jaime King is? That I don't know you're fucking her?

Lana's heart seized as he listened to Jim.

"If you also want to protect her in court, try explaining the judge she's your lover and we'll see how it goes. You might get away with a restraining order, but there's no way you can legally protect her after the jury hears my testimony as well. I might not know where she lives now, but it'll just take a few days for my men to find out, just like they found out the studio you've been working at. I could make her disappear in a second. you well fucking know that Lizzy." Jim threatened her.

"Listen you bastard! if you fucking touch her I swear to go- " she screamed but got interrupted by Jim's voice again.

''Oh no, I will not lay a finger on her before the hearing. That is if you cooperate and promise me that when we go to court, you'll say it was a complete misunderstanding, say you're in love with me and you just pulled a stunt because you were jealous of someone else getting my attention. Then you come home with me, your little friend can continue living in peace, and we forget about this whole mess you made for yourself. I'll see you Thursday in court Lizzy.'' he finished saying, hanging up the phone immediately.

Before Lana could even say anything, the line was dead. And the singer gave out a scream of powerlessness and desperation. Tears started coming out of her eyes freely and she threw the phone across the room, smashing it against the wall.

How the fuck could she fix this? Was there any way to keep Jaime harmless? She then wished just for an instant, They hadn't fallen in love. Then Jaime wouldn't be in danger. But a second after that, Lana thought about the younger girl, and no regrets came into her mind.

She couldn't have pictured her summer without her even if she wanted to. Jaime had been her savior. Brought light into her life. Made her feel alive again. But now she was in terrible danger and it was as all Lana's fault.

Between her sobs she kept on thinking about whatever she could do to keep her out of danger. Jim was capable of anything to get what he wanted, Lana knew that.
But she also knew in the bottom of her heart, that if she told Jaime to go back to New York for her own safety, she would never agree and stay with her. There was no way Jaime would listen to her, because Jaime had told Lana herself that they were in this together.
